Changing the loft on a titliest can change the lie angle so may have an influence on strike point aswell

Where was the sure fit cg in both clubs ? It dramatically changes feel of a club and also ball speed depending on your strike location. Also was the shaft the same weight (many shafts have the same flex but differ in weight) and were both stock shafts from titleist or was one an aftermarket version.

D2 same as the one in the fitting only difference was the on on the course was 9.5 turned to D2 and the fitting i liked and got results was 8.5 at D2, same shaft and set up in the weight as well.
