basically there is a second hand one in the local pro shop for £50, was very tempted as in the market for a driver, however its a stiff shaft but normally use a regular, also its 2 inches too big for me , so should i get it and get a different shaft, how much will this cost to get and fit roughly, is it worth it? cheers.

Which D2 is it?

907, 909 or 910....?

Changing the shaft should only cost a few quid plus the cost of the shaft - and that can be anything from 20 quid up to 400+ depending on which shaft you want.....

If you fancy it I certainly would go for it. I paid £250 when I got mine and I bought a new shaft a few weeks ago after aTitleist fitting. The r.eplacement shaft cost £70, so if you get a working D2 for £120' ish I figure that you've done well

Sounds good to me, you can always sell the stiff shaft on if it is no good to you. New ones are still mega expensive. I should know, I just bought a D3 this week.

It is the one Mcilroy has, which im guessing is the 910?, and I'm not too sure to be honest, just the standard regular shaft that comes as standard with them, cheers

If it's a 910, be waiting for him when he opens up and bite his hand off - pay the cash then run!

50 quid is an absolute steal for a 910. A new shaft will cost 60-80 quid and you can fit it in seconds...

I will get there at like 4.30pm tommorow, and will be heartbroken if its gone, il happily pay £80 for a new shaft especially if it gets fit there and then. If i can't get it il look at the Cobra AMP there, didn't ask the price for that though.

It is fantastic. You don't need to get it reshafted as such due to surefit. Get your Titleist wrench that comes with the Driver, if this one you are looking at does not have one you can get one for about £20 max. Then unscrew you shaft buy the shaft you require with the surefit connecter attached and screw it back in to the clubhead can be done by yourself in seconds. A ll details are on Titleists site if you need any info.
