• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

This years spoils.

I won the clubs first major of the year. To get my name on the

honours board was fantastic.

Shot a 74 with a snow man down the first.

Done sod all since! :D

Its the only time I ever drink malt whiskey - from a golf trophy on presentation night!!

I was lucky enough to win a salver this year. Just as well or that window ledge was going to look a little empty!!

Well done guys. It's the fact that your name is on the trophy and willbe there for all to see for years to come that is the important bit. You've beaten the field on a given day, you've won the trophy and your name is there with all the other past winners. Gives you a good feeling inside.

I won my first ever 'big' competition, our summer meeting several years ago. Having played in it 10-11 times previously, it was just another competition. This time was different. My dad passed away on the Tuesday afternoon, I went out on the Saturday, just to get out the house really and played a perfect round of golf. Won by one stroke. At the dinner and prizegiving some months later, it hit me. I had my name on one of the 'big' trophies in the club. My name was alongside many of the clubs great and worthy players. It's still there and will be for all time.

Made me realise what being part of the club was all about.

managed a couple of others over the years since then and will try hard again next year.

It's a great game that we play.

Great Success :)
