Thought I'd share this years spoils with you all.
I was fortunate enough earlier in the year to win My Club's Tankard

This was filled several times in Friday night with various poisons and left me feeling quite ill for most of Saturday.

I think it may have been the brasso mixer I was unknowingly having with my drinks.
I look forward to defending this next year and maybe adding some more.

Anyone else had their prizegiving yet?

I won a few bits and bobs this year. After I work out how to put pictures up, I'll show them to you all.

I won a big silver pot a few years ago, solid too, but I don't have any photos. Haven't won anything of note since, just the odd sweep, and a few M&S vouchers. Been a bit of a lean year.

A single medal win in September was one of only 3 decent competition rounds all year so another "Could do better". Won our Captains Day twice in 3 years back in the 90's and got some nice loot. Maybe next year......

I have achived nothing in my attempts to work out how to put pictures on here. Can somebody please put me out of my misery.

ATTICUS.......good for you, always nice to win something!
I've said before that I've won the Ecletic trophy this year!
Oh if only,if only I could do it in one round!!!!
Santa ...if I'm good and do all the chores SWMBO says then will you grant me this??PLEASE??
(promise I'll send back the Ashworth tops and V-neck,the wilson DX2's(48 of)Ping crew neck etc;etc;...I found them all by accident.........HONEST..I WAS'NT SNOOPING..just looking for my fags!!!)
Please Santa,pretty please,you know I believe in you!!! :o

Ive just had a think about this trophy lark and I have just realised that in all these years, all the comps I have won never resulted in a trophy  As far as the medals go, they have been like my hole in one......close enough for it to do it but something unlikely happening to prevent it :(

Yes, you're right Sammy, That is a "proper" trophy as you put it. Is it yours?

Yes - 6 rounds of match play over 3 days.....was really ripping it by the final - the best (and most golf) I have played for about 10 years!! - had the bloke beaten on the 2nd green in the final.... ;)

Had a couple of stapleford wins early in the year, runner up in my class in three medals and beaten semi finalist in the club individual matchplay.

had a reasonable year in my society,a couple of class runner up and wins and finally runner up on Captains Day which i wanted to win as my brother was captain-however ant complain as i have won two Captains Days in last 6-7 seasons. Also beaten in semi final of society matchplay.

Well done again, Atticus. A well deserved hangover!

I didn't win a bean in "proper" competition this year but amassed a wee haul in my society days out with various pals. I thought I'd better take a photo before I handed them all back again shortly!

The highlight would have been winning our annual 3 day stableford trophy at Nairn with a final round 76! It went down to the last hole, beating my pal big Scott, who won the GM Glen Outing, on the last green by a single point. Sweet or what! That stopped his 3 in a row. Woohoo.

Sammebee's trophy is mighty impressive. So it should be.

Well I won the seniors club championship, disappointingly by default as the other guy who won his semi final couldn’t play finals day and the committee DQ both in the semi as they both knew the situation before hand. Still, besides others I beat last years and a former champion on my way to the trophy.

I’m not finished, I won the summer pairs, foursomes, with my good mate Bob. We played really well and I’ve never putted so consistently as I’ve done this year. This is the third time I’ve won this, the first was back in 1983……god.

Wait there’s more, I joined a second club this year and one or two people said I would find it difficult to play to my handicap there. Well, I scorched all that talk with a round of 73 scratch to finish second in my first ever medal played there. 12 putts in the back 9.

By September's end I was all golfed out and could hardly hit a ball.

Well done Alan.

I missed our prizegiving last night had to work, but had a good year for a change.
Won tuesday Medal ( best 6 rounds over the year),3 Club and Putter competition and was runner up in the Monthly Medal on Countback :(.

But best of all handicap dropped 4 full shots this year. :D
