This weekend...

Wednesday roll up today, 21 points played like a muppet. Knockout tomorrow, with a lot of time on the range. The a 36 hole comp ( stroke play) on Sunday! Only benefit is we are basking in the sun image.jpg

No Medal for me for 2nd weekend in a row, was my daughters 1st Communion last week and now her cousins this week. Hopefully going to catch a bouce game on Friday evening.

I'll be playing in the RAIN!!! Bloody country while 90% have warm dry and sunny, we have rain forecast!:(

Looks like the wether is going to be on our side!

Whats everyone up to?

I'm playing 18 on Friday afternoon then possibly another on Sunday (trying to get my cards in for handicap).

In other news, one of HID's bridesmaids has just decided to tell me she works for Sirixon - BONUS! Discounts ahoy apparently! Any decent Sirixon products I should be looking at?

Is the bridesmaid who works for Sirixon courting?

Hunstanton Friday then maybe Sutton Bridge on the way back depending on light.

Saturday maybe 9 holes if I get time.

Sunday White tees on the Hotchkin for a medal round, Guaranteed 0.1 back unless it R/O :D

Hunstanton then The Hotchkin. Now that is something to look forwards to;)

Looks like I could be just one of the record support at a match EVER for St Johnstone. We are a small club from a small 'city' - Perth has a pop of 44,000 - and last count we have broken the 15,000 mark for Saturday.

Record home crowd for St Johnstone was 29,000 against local rivals Dundee in the 1950s - but reckoning is that well over half were Dundee supporters - with maybe max 12,000 of crowd being St Johnstone. Even when we got to the 1969 League Cup Final against Celtic our support was less than 15,000. Golf can take a back seat this weekend COYS!!!

I'm gutted, heat wave weekend, medal planned for today and stableford tomorrow, and Ive come down with something! Thinks its a virus, shivering one minute, boiling the next, strange weird dream last night, 12 hours sleep but still feel rough, been up since 6am. After feeling confident of playing well I'm now in two minds if should even play. I've got two days at Princes and Hillside next week as well? Should I rest or just try and power through?

Just got a Dr's appointment, think im going to dose up and power through!!

What am I up to this weekend? I'm going to the Scottish Cup Final with my son and mum (and many other relatives). We will see our team St Johnstone in the Cup Final for the first time in it's 130yr history - and hopefully we will seem them win! 15,000 blue Saintees in Parkhead (Hampden is being used for the Commonwealth Games) plus maybe 30,000 tangerine Arabs - will certainly make for a colourful sight :) COYS!

I work in Perth and Broxden Roundabout is kitted out in blue and white this morning, loads of people at my work wearing Saintees colours today. I'm booked to be on the balcony of the City Chambers in Dundee photographing United with the cup on Sunday afternoon, if they win it - I hope I'm not doing that.

In golf related news my thoughts on Saturday afternoon were to get out on the golf course and ignore the fact that my team's local rivals could be winning a trophy (in much the same way as Denis Law did on the day of the 66 World Cup Final) - only to find out that Monifieth Medal is booked for Grange club championship qualifier from 2pm.

So I'll be having a wander around the Ashludie course - got a bit of golf during the week coming - Mixed doubles match on Monday and Cruden Bay seniors open on Thursday - need to find a swing before that.

Mon the Saintees

Lost our club 4somes knockout match on the 18th last night. First time doing this and I found it bloody hard. Pressure got to me and also HID advising me on which clubs to use a couple of times. Should have just ignored him ;)There's always next year lol

Hunstanton then The Hotchkin. Now that is something to look forwards to;)
Part 1 at Hunstanton completed yesterday, scorching day with no wind, lovely course as well, our team won the am am with 83 points and got a nice £50 voucher each and a few other goodies. Amazed that I didn't get sunstroke as the weather was incredible.

Hotchkin tomorrow off the whites with winds gusting 30mph

Good luck TLB , I've just started on that journey myself! Where in lancashire?

Sorry little late reading that. I have just joined at Silverdale GC, it's a quirky little course which is quite punishing which I'm starting to find out.

Shot 39 points on the Saturday for a nice little cut and then 3 putted on the 18th on the Sunday to give 0.1 of that back! Whereabouts do you play at in Blackpool?
