They Exist!

In a nutshell, yes, by default. As with most platforms it's pretty configurable and it's up to the club how they administer it. For example, it's possible to show a membership number rather than name or it can be configured to use individual passwords. I guess most leave it as default.

With Intelligent golf the only scores that are viewable to "non members" are ones that are published to the public website - we don't publish any so all our comps etc on IG can't be seen by anyone without a login to our IG page. Some people would prefer that privacy.

HDID scores are all available to everyone to see unless the club has specifically requested that only registered members of that club are allowed to see the results

Again some people or clubs just prefer things to be kept private - it's not hiding anything - obviously it's a bit of a kick in the nuts for those that go searching for scores

I don't think so but wouldn't swear to it. I've never come across it though.
Ours is on the same system, all public, no CDH No, normally shows results from current season only.

Golf clubs that keep results private are a pain, especially if you played an open there and can't get to see the results!

What is so private about a scorecard!? Pointless, it's like people on Twitter with 60 followers who protect their tweets!? Pointless

I wasn't on about results. Ours are available for all to see. I just didn't realise some systems show full playing history.

References to names and links are now gone (thanks Phil), so for anyone who didn't see it I will summarise.

This year - (website goes back to mid March)

Player A

22 qualifiers : 19 x 0.1 back
20 NQ : 16 times in the prizes

16 consecutive 0.1's back to finish the season, since then his NQ positions read 5 13 3 1 1 2 1 1 1

Player B

14 qualifiers : 10 x 0.1 back
19 NQ : 12 times in the prizes

Both were given cuts of 3.5 in the annual review.

** In looking at the website to write the above, I notice there was a competition played today. Player A won it with 37pts off his new handicap, beating 2nd place by 5 shots **

I assume comp today was a NQ ?

Oh yes!

What I forgot to put in my post above, is that his new HC is 6.

Blobbed the first 2 holes and played the back 9 in -2 gross.
Clearly struggling with his new handicap then

Another NQ game. Is the course in such poor condition that you have to play so many NQ comps.

Why beat the NQ issue to death?

We have a season. Qualifiers inside it, NQ outside it.

Judging by the poll I started clubs that do it this way are in the majority.

Possibly on here.

Try as I might I cannot find anything in the CONGU handbook about seasons and qualifiers.

You as well as many others want suspect actions by golfers to be sorted, qualifiers are one of the tools available.

Seems there's at least 1 handicap committee with some cajones!

Well done that club!

Of course, 6 is the lowest a club can do this to - at least without Area Authority approval.
