I don't have the figures but I would guess that in places like St Andrews, of all the foreign travellers you would be looking at about 80% Americans. Not that many Europeans or Asians by comparison. When you walk into a bar there in the Summer, there are more Americans accents than any other.

Thing is when this lockdown is lifted, it will only be a little bit. Distance travel will be frowned upon so hopefully, the local golfers (to the courses) will be the ones that benefit, I hope. And no, I'm nowhere near any of these hallowed places.

Also the cyclists that are doing 20 miles a day will benefit ?
