As always TPC Sawgrass looks immaculate and the conditions are perfect for golf.
Westwood seems that he cannot buy a putt these days. So far been the best Tee to Green that I'm seen but missing putts that he shouldn't.
McIlroy going well as is Mickleson. Donald scrambling away but by no means setting fire to the heather.
Poulter posted a -7 round of 65 to lead the way.

Can they keep it up, will Westy get these putts going, will Donald show what he's capable of?

scott motoring along nicely! great looking place isnt it? 90 million for the new clubhouse! thats a fair amount of subs right there!

Looks great Gary, Scott is going well - I just can't take to him. Don't know what it is.
Laird is moving now at -3.
Really enjoying watching big Phil, his swing and judgement just seem bang on.

I do love these great American tournaments as it is an opportunity for the best in the world to play outstanding golf in prestine weather in excellent conditions. Much better than watching the poor European tour guys getting soaked in the drizzly rain over this direction.

Nice wee segment there with Rory talking through his bag and revealing that he has his driver set at 7.75*!!!
7.75, that's mental.

Yeah it was interesting. It was also very interesting to see that he lifts his arms at impact so he has to have his irons 1° upright. As well as having his Driver 1/2" longer than standard!! Very strange for a pro

i have an 8.5. its no harder to hit than anything else! would like a go with rorys. he said his driver is an inch longer. im surprised he said he got that by accident. if i was a pro i would have tried EVERY single length, lie etc to see if i could gain any advantage!

Yeah but the 1/2" long thing was by accident rather than design. Just so happened that he didn't lose control.

But nevertheless it strange for one of the pros as they usually like having the shaft cut down a bit as doesn't usually effect their distance, but for Rory he didn't lose any control and gained yards. Very fortunate for that to happen by chance. It's just interesting to see

I had the RBZ set for a lower ball flight as I suffered from too high a ball flight for my liking. I've now got it under control thankfully. So 9.5° will be as low as I go I'd say

Westy back to even after a double. Some good players struggling. Is it me or do the greens almost look burned. Missed the start so not sure if they said if there is a reason

They have been talking about undersoil heating Homer, to make the grass grow early so they could get best prep done. Don't know if that's causal or not.
