The Masters 2025

Not sure that's relevant when talking about 'the greatest shot in Masters history'
Of course it is relevant. The situation adds to how memorable the shot is. If someone holes out from 160 yards on 18 for an eagle to finish tied for 40th, no one will remember it within a few years. If someone hit that exact same shot and ended up winning the tournament by 1, it would never be forgotten.

The entire tournament became a big thing because of Sarazen's albatross. If that hadn't have happened, we probably wouldn't be watching this right now.

Couple of disappointing holes for Rory but still fine, the good start meant he had a couple of shots to play around with. Still in good shape

This is great viewing. No one is getting any birdies and it all feels quite cagey. BDC has played some really poor approach shots but has scrambled very well. Rose will be disappointed but he is keeping himself in this.

Conners, Day, and Lowry are going under the radar...

Scheffler now needs a birdie or two though.

His start was unsustainable. It put him in pole position and he now needs steady golf. He doesn't need to be in the lead, just within striking distance. It's tomorrow that matters.

Scheffler won't play this bad tomorrow.

We've been at a golf simulator in town tonight, playing Augusta. With the Masters on the big TV. Every time I looked round, McIlroy was another shot better. Great start. Imagine what his lead could be with a decent caddy :)

If he doesn't win it from here, he never will. Everything is going right - he's playing well, he's not letting his head drop when he makes a mistake, and at the moment, no one is really coming close to him.
