The Great Trolley Revolt!!

wot me carry!

Played on Monday at my local P&P, which has stood up quite well to the awful weather this year. There was no trolley ban but there certainly should have been as the fairways were almost liquid mud!.

I kept to the buggy paths for most of the round although it does take longer.

However, the error of keeping the course open was exposed on the 18th where the greenkeepers were out with a large tractor working on the fairway which cut up to the extent that it was impossible to play the hole due to deep tyre marks.

Strangely all the greens were in reasonable condition.

as mentioned before, my local Muni course only opened after 11 days last Saturday and this has been the longest period the course has had for rest in two years, but I was thinking about this and buggy paths might be the way forward (even though we don't have buggies) for winter golf if it means you HAVE to leave your trolley on it at all times, yes it might slow the game down but the benefit it will bring the course would be great.

Just an idea is all.
