Picked up the new bag of G25's on Saturday and spent yesterday morning on the practice ground. Went out in the afternoon to play and the future is Ping. Back edge on one with 5 wood and in green side bunker in two on second. Never been anywhere near that green. 3 wood into thr bunker on 4. Never been in range before. Drive and eight iron for birdie on the long 14th and superb hybrid on 17 to ten feet. loads of other good shots in there too. Bad shots still playable and good ones were great. Got Nike pairs with Hawkeye tonight away at Maidenhead and providing I can swing through the pain barrier of badly burned arms and neck, I am hoping to put in a good performance.

Still don't like the look of the irons but when you are hitting them well looks don't matter. Amazing what a custom set makes to the swing and the game. Anyone in the Surrey, London or Berkshire area thinking of a C/F I recommend Pachesham Golf Club. Independent and Andrea Timms who owns the place really knows his stuff.

Yardages are still hit and miss as there was a strong wind on the practice ground blowing into so hard to get accurate numbers. Working on a + 5-7 yards at the moment per club and hoping I don't airmail too many greens. I am definitely a very happy golfer. They seem to fit my swing and I have so much confidence over the ball. Probably wont last but the glass is very full and Homer is a happy golfer once again

Good to hear they are working for you out on the course. takes away that nagging doubt if they work first time. Have fun Homer.

Good to hear your happy with the new shineys, makes it all worth while when you can see immediate gains and sounds like the distance gained is quite impressive.
Hope the burns ease and the match goes well tonight.

Good to see they are working as well as you'd hoped Homer.

Wont mention "hope you've calibrated the new distances"! :D

And are you going to go back and review the 10k or so 'Go see your Pro! New sticks won't help' posts

Good Luck tonight btw. And stop worrying Hawkeye. And Hawkeye....Stop worrying!

Glad they work, your yardages will be the same as the other clubs:rolleyes: as someone pointed out it was hot down your way yesterday:whistle:

The unwritten rule of any new club is that it performs well immediately, I hope you still feel the same after 10 rounds:thup:

I think the G25 range are superb clubs. I have the driver and 4W and find the 4w in particular easy to keep under control from the deck or tee. Hope the honeymoon period becomes a permanent one and play well tonight.

I can see a future with different woods and hybrid, as they are the longer clubs that swing deficiencies show up in. I reckon the irons will be staying for a long time
