Yep, Liverpool can count themselves very fortunate that they are still in the tie....and that should be a penalty.

I’m far from a slave to stats, but those in this game tell the story. PSG should be home and dry.

Very sloppy when they needed to be a little more clinical.

Yes but why change the way you play against one of the best teams in the world.

We looked at times like we didn’t know what we were doing.
Lucky it wasn’t 5 or 6 so could say PSG were very wasteful.

Thought the ref was shocking almost every big call wrong!
At least he changed his mind over the penalty.
Why he didn’t give one for the push amazes me and VAR 🙈

Only issue with this is how do Liverpool play? I don't have a clue.

we're badly coached, unfit and have zero fight. An absolute shambles from top to bottom.
I get Slot wants them to play slightly more restrained than under Klopp, and I get it, but it seems they are playing even slower than he might like. I don’t like that dancing on the spot with the ball, we used to do it under Klopp and invariably lost the game when we did that, and I also think there’s a number of players who now can’t be bothered.

Just poor , still a big hole in the middle where two players just vacate every game

Confidence is shot

Let’s scrape into CL and then re assess in the summer
Do you think they will get into the champions league next season?

It’s very tight and seems like nobody wants to grab it

There is a possibility (very slim) that 11 English clubs could be in Europe next year, including 7 in the Champions League

If they expand it anymore, there might even be a chance that Rotherham Utd qualify in a few years :ROFLMAO: Football League Trophy anyone?

About time they binned then champions league. It’s. Nothing to do with league Champions anymore, needs suitably renaming to match what it is.
Call it the European super league as we all know that’s what it is.
I would like to see us give places to the FA Cup and League Cup winners.
Much rather they get rewarded for winning a competition as opposed to finishing in the top 25% of the league.
It would instantly make both cup competitions much more relevant again.

Would also make the champions league more relevant as each team would be the champion of the competition they won to get in

Outside Palace the cup comps are all won by those CL teams anyway

Wigan won the FA cup not that long ago as did Portsmouth.
It also would make the cup competitions much more enticing for teams who often field a weakened team and make the competition more interesting for the run of the mill fans.

It will still be the same teams who take up the top 4/5 spots in the league

The genie was out of the bottle long time ago

When they went with the ESL the changes to the CL were being brought in under the radar

Nice thinking but it would actually devalue it in reality. It may have the Champions in it but a lot will be from smaller countries and the lesser European comp will have much stronger line up and competition. To get the competition to 32 sides you'd have to put in the winners of leagues like Ireland, Northern Ireland, Latvia etc. As a result the vast majority of games would be walkovers and the top sides would just put out reserve sides. If you make it a smaller comp, say 8 teams it would be such a short comp it would become a farce.

I don’t think it would always be one of those sides.
Majority of the time yes but occasionally it would be a different team.

I still would rather the cup winner got into the champions league and if they happened to finish 5th as well that’s fine.

I know it won’t happen but I’m still allowed to dream
