Good win for Spurs lot of positives and plenty of fight ultimately we lost it in 15 mins of madness in the first leg.
Forest must be concerned now they have to play Spurs when they have seemed to have turned it around and hit a bit of form.

Just saw that a Galatasary player severed his thumb when he crashed against the advertising boards as Anfield. Ouch. Surgery in Liverpool today.

I think as soon as Osmihen broke his forearm, that absolutely killed them. You could tell he had no ability or desire to go into any sort of challenge, or risk getting even a minor knock on it. I guess he is their best player, but in hindsight should have been taken off much earlier.

Ooh you could tell it was serious by the reaction of the woman sitting there
He should have been taken off shocking decision .

They need a H&S review on the hoardings.

So now clubs are complaining about the English dominance in the champs league.. ( obviously not seen City, Newcastle and Spurs go out) but let’s be honest, majority of clubs across Europe and UEFA have not helped. And this years draw re the champs league has been a bag of crap. UEFA have done there very best to once more protect there elite and it has bitten them in the butt

Can't be too many teams who lose a shoot out and don't manage to score a single penalty?

Almost felt sorry for the guy at the end there. Huge credit to the Forest keeper for not even celebrating and heading over to console him. The whole Forest team acted in a classy way, exactly how a bigger team should do when they scrape though.

Unlike Antony goading lower league players when Man Utd beat Coventry on pens a few years back. The best thing Utd did was get rid of him and Garnacho - two horrible individuals.

Of course. Imagine if they awarded Germany the 1966 World Cup after goal-line technology was invented. Going back and changing the result two months after the event is a total farce. Even the Morocco players can't be happy with that, they know full well they didn't win. No celebrations - it will feel completely hollow.

Exactly this. If a decision wasn't made at the time, then the failure to apply the correct rules is then another breach.

You either call off the game there and then and apply the rules correctly or you let it go. Can you imagine anything like that happening in the World Cup or Euros?

Quite. Senegal walking off was a very clear breach of a simple rule. It’s too ludicrous for words that it’s taken two months to apply it. They may as well scrub Afcon 2026 from the record books because the outcome is absolutely meaningless.

It's like stopping a game in extra time, using VAR and giving a penalty in the first minute to change a result!

Midtjylland are a bit physical.

Forest seemingly finding their feet in the game but plenty of barging and checking from the Danes.
Been like that every single game we've played them in (all 3 of them). They're a really well organised outfit, but just barge their opposition around and a lot of the European referees just let them get away with it.

Forest should be at least 2 up with the chances they have had.
Story of our season, that. could have had 5 goals in the first half 🙃 A fit Chris Wood scores at least a couple of those.

Hopefully the fact we're continually knocking on the door will mean that things will start clicking and we'll increase our conversion rate.

the ET and pens with a lot of minutes in the legs of the "Starters" wasn't ideal, but hopefully the win (and really good performances all round from our second string) will give us some momentum heading into some crucial games.

Why are there THIRTY-FIVE players in the England squad for two matches?? What the hell is the point of that?
Probably a few reasons:

  1. Managers tend to makes loads of subs in friendly matches
  2. International players rarely meet up. It is probably good for a manager to see as many players as they can, face to face. Even if they only end up training.
  3. I wouldn't be surprised if there are several late withdrawals. Players that are borderline fit, but not worth taking a risk for a friendly. With a 35-man squad, it lessens the need for the manager to have to call others up late. Disruptive for him, and the players that are getting the late call.
