The EPL football I watch is boring...competitive as far as it goes yes - but so much is around set pieces and the nonsense that goes on around corners and free kicks into the box. TBH I can't be bothered watching it more than an occasional dip in and out...

No it’s not, Paul. What I am saying is that his actions allowed the referee to do what he did. No hands on, the referee has nowhere to go with it.

Palace can have no complaints.

Can’t see what the problem is. If a player is fouled, I have no problem with him helping the ref by going down, even if he exaggerates it a bit. A foul’s a foul.

However, diving without contact is cheating. For me it should be a red. Give ‘em a red and let VAR sort it out.

Some of the holding in the box is just disgraceful and as every goal is Looked at re VAR. Any holding and the goal is cancelled. The holding by RICE at the weekend was shocking yet rewarded as there was no Penalty. And am not just having a go at him As one of the worst is Bernardo silva.

Bit of both. Some of the amateur dramatics is painful to watch but think about how many fouls, allegedly, the ref misses that get analysed to death here. I don’t mind exaggeration if it helps the ref spot it, it’s the simulation that needs knocking on the head.

Problem is when exaggeration spills over from simulation.

We are getting closer and closer to it becoming an non-contact sport.
Maquire for instance yesterday should receive a retrospective ban for that sort of behaviour.

Apologies from PGMOL after a wrong decision is pointless, nothing changes.

Only way thinks will change is when Teams can lose points for certain behaviours.
