I’ve already been asked if I’m disappointed in that result.

Why would I be? West Ham packed their defensive third every time United had the ball. United did not play as well as they have been doing. We don’t play well away against this opposition. And we were never going to win every game under Carrick.

So let’s be realistic. A great finish. A really hard earned point away from home. And we’ll still be 4th after this round of fixtures with Palace at home next up.

So on balance I’ll take that.
Everton away a week on monday first mate.

Saw the last 35 minutes of your match and it was a decent watch, it was a good point in the end with chances West Ham missed, Yoro 2 last ditch saves and the Traore chance.

His attitude is first class. He hasn’t let the fact he has been on the bench get to him, and when he has come on he has taken his chance.

It’s his first season, as a young lad, at a new club in a new league when he has spent much of that time being expected to carry the attack. Carrick has managed him really well, and I think he will benefit from having been taken out of the firing line a little.

It was a good idea to take him out of the side as he wasn't playing well bar the Burnley game. He's taken a few chances well off the bench but I'd still question his all round game. Mbeumo is much more effective simply due to his all round game and physical power.

That said, early days and nothing wrong with a season to bed in. It would be good to see him get a start soon and see if he's improved but that was a great finish, as was his goal last week.

Carrick has managed everyone well, despite not winning tonight, to take 13 points from 5 games is remarkable given the previous level! He's a breath of fresh air, doesn't say too much, just goes about things is a confident and classy way.
