Wissa is a good player , been a stop start season for him so far but he is good

You've also got to factor in Newcastle are one the clubs that hero worship their striker, the pressure will be immense on any big money signings. My personal view is he wasn't worth the lolly and won't be more than a squad player.

Good player yes but £50m at 29 good? That's another level.

Buying a player when seriously injured is never usually a smart move.
He was £50m which is way above his value and he's very close to 30, so no resale value either.
He's only had 2 decent seasons in his entire career in a major league.

I wouldn't write him off totally but it all adds up to panic buy at the moment. He doesn't look like a striker or a winger. You essentially signed two number 10's in the summer and are still lacking a proper striker IMO. Woltemade was alot but you can at least see he's got potential and age on his side.
Eh?????? He wasn't injured when we bought him. Just a week or so after signing he went and played in a WC qualifier for DR Congo and got injured on International duty.

Dont hugely disagree with the rest though.

Fair enough, my mistake! I didn't realise he was injured on international duty. Just looked and it said it was days after he signed so an easy mistake to make as I wasn't paying much attention to Dr Congo's games.
