I don't blame the managers at all, it's money for old rope if they get the bullet.
The problem is the short termism exhibited by most fans and club owners and chiefs,
Right now most non Utd fans are laughing at Utd, and every one of those fans is hoping their club don't do similar.
Give a manager time to show what they can do, and I bet most who get an early bullet would actually do a decent job. However since the world wants instant gratification, what do we expect.
The fans are just background noise though, the modern Owners and Chiefs at the highest level are the ones wanting instant success.

Utd, Lpool, Arsenal, Chelsea etc cannot afford 3-4 years rebuilding in the modern game.

The standard of the football being seen overall is poor from what I have seen imo
That is because you support Liverpool. The drop in the standard of football has been monumental for your club.

Meanwhile, Arsenal fans probably feel the standard is better, Man City have played some good football. Villa have had fantastic results after a slow start. Sunderland have been terrific.

Football teams still win points and lose points each week. There will usually always be at least one disappointed side after every game, who can point to bad football and mistakes. I personally don't see an overall drop in the standard of football. Then again, I support Man Utd, so why would I?

So in a couple Of weeks time, Pep who has been at City for 9 1/2 years will be playing against his 6th Man Utd manager in that time. And it was Pep who was supposed to be at the club no longer than 2 years 🫣
Football is a funny old game. Except for some fans it’s not a laughing matter.

Roy Hodgson won trophies in different countries and took Fulham to a European final, tell us again how he faired at Lpool.

As @Orikoru said above, sometimes it’s about levels.

Lampard may end up being an excellent Championship manager or lower level of PL. etc
Another way of asking that questions is would he want him at Liverpool and does he think he’s capable of winning them trophies.

Often hear on here and other SM platforms people on the outside saying they know whose best for rival clubs but then wouldn’t want those managers or players themselves as they don’t deem them good enough.

I genuinely don’t know who goes in at Utd and resolves the issues they have it’s become a toxic and poisoned chalice of a club for quite some time now. Perhaps they need to stop thinking of “the Utd way” and think of how do we do the best with what we have and take our time to move forward in a “new way”.

How do you make everything with Utd a post about City! 😂

Not even compatible the 2 situations, City were a club in the way up throwing money around and Utd have been on the way down for years and struggling to make something stick. Maybe Pep should go to Utd and prove he can coach a load of average players then you’d have a point 😂

Stolen from anti-social media

The current odds for the next Manchester United manager following Ruben Amorim's departure are as follows:
  • Oliver Glasner: 7/2 (early favorite)
  • Gareth Southgate: 5/1
  • Enzo Maresca: 6/1
  • Mauricio Pochettino: 15/2
  • Darren Fletcher: caretaker charge

All of those names just leave me stone cold. Glasner is probably the best of the bunch, but the rest?

Fletcher is untested at any level, never mind Premier League. And as for the other three? Please, God, no. Southgate’s name gets trotted out whenever the subject of the United job comes up and I’ll say the same now as I have done previously - he has absolutely zero club management pedigree. None.

Maresca played a truly dire brand of football at Leicester and, despite all the plaudits, what has Pochettino done? And Zidane? No. The bloke has been out of management for a long time, and it would help if you could speak the language at the very least.

I have absolutely no idea where the club goes next. I’m up for the Brighton game on Sunday - I’ll be really interested to see what the atmosphere is like because, regardless of what armchair critics say, the match going fans have a real affinity with Amorim, and I think many will be really disappointed with how this has panned out.

Was just saying he has a decent record and is a little bit more than a flavour of the month

There are managers that still do well when they step up

Not everyone is a Hodgson etc

If Slot was to leave I wouldn’t be too disappointed with someone like Glasner coming in

Well done on finding a way to make it about City - again 👏

The Utd way, the West Ham Way. I don’t understand. Paul Scholes recently said Utd don’t play with 3 at the back. It’s 4 4 2 and with wingers. That might have worked with fergie and Utd playing against other teams 4 4 2. But the game has massively evolved.
I think part of the problem at Utd and West Ham is they are stuck in the old ways.

The Liverpool owners did consider him after Klopp. However because of his prefered line up pattern they didnt go any further.
Likewise the Liverpool owners are not too worried about this seasons drop off, it's next season thats the one that will decide things.

Just wait until Pep goes after next season. Then it might be interesting ;)

Why would Man City sack a manager who is successful though?

Meanwhile, in Alex Ferguson's time at Man Utd, Man City had 19 managers

That’s fair enough and if they considered and ruled it out based on that fair play. My comment wasn’t really aimed at the Liverpool owners more at the opinions some here and elsewhere seem to try to continually push when they wouldn’t accept things themselves. I’ve seen so many Liverpool fans moaning about Slot and how he needs to go but say Glasner isn’t good enough for them but he is for Utd. Equally seen Arsenal fans saying Arteta has to go because he only ever finishes 2nd and they equally wouldn’t take Glasner ! 🤷🏼

Perfectly summed up to be fair Tashy. To many are stuck in the past and glory days they don’t move on and that only contributes to issues they have. Someone needs to put and end to it move them forward.

Literally my favourite post of the year! So far 😂

Imagine the fans then would make the stadium even emptier than it already is 😂

And that is how I can recognise tha pain that Utd fans are going through at the moment. The only difference is we don’t take any satisfaction out of it. 👍

Hope so. Ticket prices might drop. 😂
