The stats don’t read great for Amorim. Worst prem win record at Utd and a minus goal deficit.

That said…..he’s inherited a poor team and even worse dressing room, and, I like what he’s done. Hes got rid of the bad eggs and the players seem to respond to him.

Results have not been great recently and maybe we should have beaten Wolves, West Ham and Bournemouth, but, we are missing key starting and squad players DeLigt, Maguire, Mainoo, Mount, Mbeumo, Amad and Mazaroui.

I’d have liked him to see out the season but for whatever reason (not spending in January) he’s fallen out with the board and engineered his exit.

There’s hardly a pool of world class managers available ! Southgate anyone ? 😂

I know you're a big Red mate but you really do need to get your swagger back and demand more. He's been rubbish since day one and has wasted a year on nothing. He should've gone in the summer.

The biggest issue is it looks like those running the football side have no idea what they're doing and that Ratcliffe picked the wrong one when he got rid of Ashworth. Appointing a manager with no proven track record of success in a major league, that's wedded to one style, which doesn't doesn't suit the squad was one of the worst decisions made post Ferguson. A total gamble because Amorim was young and had some charisma.

The squad is miles better than results have shown and any reasonable manager will get more from them. I think you'll finish 4th or 5th.

Could any of them do a worse job?
That’s including Arthur 😉
Who knows.

When Amorim got the job, nearly all Man Utd fans, opposing fans and the media felt it was a good appointment. When ETH came in, people also felt it was a good appointment. Then looked what happened.

Whoever gets the job, the knives will get sharpened, and immediately used at the first sign of bad form. The mistake is that people keep thinking that the Utd performances are very much down to the manager. Yet the manager is just a component of the problem, if indeed the manager is the problem. For all we know, the manager is more frustrated and annoyed by the flaws above him than Utd fans are, but they have to keep their mouth shut as best as possible to ensure that everyone believes everyone is working in perfect harmony.

I think it’s more that the top teams have dropped off, which obviously means there’s more teams competing for for the top spots & Europe. But that doesn’t necessarily mean the other teams have improved.

It’s been poor this season , Arsenal should stroll to the title but even then I wouldn’t be surprised if they trip themselves up

Stolen from anti-social media

The current odds for the next Manchester United manager following Ruben Amorim's departure are as follows:
  • Oliver Glasner: 7/2 (early favorite)
  • Gareth Southgate: 5/1
  • Enzo Maresca: 6/1
  • Mauricio Pochettino: 15/2
  • Darren Fletcher: caretaker charge
I think that Trump is going to install Amorin as the new Venezuelan president - the timing is just too convenient to be anything else :ROFLMAO:

I know expectations are always higher at the top clubs… it must be his criticism of those above that has got him the sack, and more fool them.

He inherited a squad that was misfiring and had a few disruptive players. They’re now 6th and have Burnley & Brighton before two tough matches. Bearing in mind where Utd have been in recent seasons, they’re in a healthy position and with a lot of back room rubbish sorted.
Err, excuse me, i cant talk about Burnley but Brighton will be no pushovers. Just saying.😂

Why is it poor? It’s closer this season than last season at this stage more teams competing and top 3 have more points, more teams closer to European spots.
Even Utd who’ve sacked their manager are 8 points and 7 places higher.

Think INEOS have been desperate to bring in Southgate imo and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him be given the job to see how he goes until the summer
Yeah the jungle drums have always beaten the Southgate rhythm.

He did ok for England but his domestic record isn’t great. That said, he might have improved since his Middlesbrough days !

I don’t think he would the manager to propel the team back into challenging for Titles etc but if he worked the way he did with England then would make the team defend better

Always said that you should have gone for Tuchel once Munich let him go

I don’t disagree. Which managers have proven track records these days though ? We tried it with LVG and it didn’t work ….he’d won the champs league , la liga and bundesliga !

I’ve honestly no idea who I’d have.
