I totally agree with everything you’ve said after the first 3 words.

He admits it bias, but a great post would of been the website mentioning times N’Castle have benefitted from bad decisions.

The BBC have made a big thing today about Isak’s injury, despite Slot stating they won’t know the extent until a scan this week, Lpool fans commenting about how it should of been a red card, but no mention of VVD’s tackle as shown in a previous post.

You’re 100% correct it’s insanity, but only when they feel their team has been badly done to.
But that wasn't the point of the "article"....yes there was an NUFC bias in respect of some decisions that were considered contentious yesterday, but the whole point of the article was really about how referees have been rendered impotent in their role by VAR, and how they know that they now don't have to make a decision, because of the safety net of some bloke at Stockley Pk who will, 99 times out of 100 will back their "non-decision" up.

A loss but actually a decent performance. Just done by a couple of bits of brilliance by Rodgers otherwise Villa were generally outplayed.

Special shoutout to the ‘Freedom Fighter’ that is Jadon Sancho who is at yet another club but cannot even make the subs bench.

I totally got the point of the article, but the Refs are just as impotent when the decisions go N’Castle’s way.

There’s only a song and dance from Clubs, supporters etc when they feel they’ve been wrong’d.

Is it because Villa were playing United ? Hence not allowed to play against parent club

I think Sancho was ineligible, but I agree with the rest of your post.

United are without a host of players now - De Ligt, Maguire, Casemiro, Mbeumo, all missing today, with others who would normally be in the match day squad absent.

Despite that, I thought Villa were second best for the bulk of that game. Two really slack bits of defending contributed to both their goals, whilst United created a host of decent chances.

I expected little from the game given the run Villa have been on. I am not disappointed in most of what I saw this afternoon.

Not sure how Villa won that , thought they were generally poor and were fortunate to get the 3 pts . How the Utd player missed that header I don’t know .

Having seen that, no one is going to convince me that the challenge on VVD was not premeditated. Not saying it’s right or wrong but these things have a habit of coming back to haunt you. Unfortunately for VVD it has. It also cost Spurs more.
Posted it for a bit of balance on the forum.
When Liverpool get a decision go against them(like the offside one earlier in the season) we get similar incidents highlighted followed by lots of 🎻

I’m basically doing a public service 🤷‍♂️😆

Based on today’s performance it really is worth a conversation that when we have a fully fit defence is Martinez more useful to us in midfield.

I knew he had played there for Ajax a number of times, and always thought he was an option there.

If you need a defensively aware holding midfielder alongside Bruno then he’s definitely worth a punt in the absence of a signing. He looked very comfortable there.

To be fair Utd played well given the lack of key players and Villa in top form. Set up well and looked dangerous going forward. Cunha and Sesko missed two great chances.

He definitely has an ability to play the ball through the lines. Would be interesting to see him play a few games there. Casemiro will be back, no idea about Bruno. Might be out for a few weeks with a pulled muscle I guess

Come on Mainoo, get fit ASAP

He’s on loan and can’t play his parent club without permission. 🤣

He has been poor for us though tbf, don’t see that becoming a permanent move.
