In all fairness to Carragher he called Salah out last season when he made a statement after the Soton game.

I think from a supporter point of view he has been absent in games then suddenly stepped up with either an assist or a goal, but if that’s the way the team have set up and the role he’s been given then that’s down to the Managers.

Last season under Slot he scored 29 goals and 18 assists equalling the Pl goal involvement records.

So if he wasn’t part of Slot’s plans going forward then maybe Slot should of made it clearier to the Club and cashed in on him or made it clear to Salah and let him decide.

It seems his laziness last year wasn’t an issue for Slot, you called out Salah loads of times.

Maybe the issue is more Slot got lucky with the squad Klopp left him, added to City having an off season and Slot actually isn’t as good a manager as some think.
Yes at the end of the day the managers in charge.

I would think this will be the making or breaking of Slot.
But it’s obvious to me the dressing rooms not happy and that’s a problem for him.

I thought he handled it very well at the press conference yesterday. I suspect there's a lot more steel in him than he's been given credit for.
I think Salah has thrown the gaunlet down (along with his toys) and everyone is now seeing Slot isn't the push over they might have thought, and that means players will and should do as they're told rather than the big I am.

Alissons comments were very telling - sounds like they are disappointed with Mo
I think Slots told the team the style of football is changing.
If Salah is as good as everyone thinks why can’t he adapt and help out more.
It’s a team game there’s no I in team but a few in Individually selfish!

You see someone’s real character when under pressure.
He’s a pro footballer who’s been dropped for playing badly instead of behaving like Harry Maguire and fight for his place he’s threw his toys all over Anfield.

Just saw that Real Madrid are very close to sacking Alonso as their manager.

Could the owners of Liverpool be keeping a keen eye on any developments, and ready to pounce quickly if Alonso becomes available?

Remember Phil Neal didn't tell anyone he had a broken toe, so he wouldnt miss games and lose his place?
Competition for a play on the pitch was immense, as he said if he had been made to rest and recover he would have had to really fight to get back into the team

That would be a knee jerk reaction. Imo.

But who knows the dressing room might be annoyed with Slot as much as with Salah.
We need a defensive coach asap. ( no big Sam jokes)

Mo Salah has had 366 goal involvements at the club , that’s more than players like Henry have had

We don’t need to look to change history when it comes to the impact Salah has had on the club - he is top 5 of all time Liverpool players , the impact can’t be denied

Sometimes you need to set the team up to support the best player and we have done that for years ,

It’s changing now and that’s not suited to his game , so he will prob move on

Salahs not had real competition for his place that caused entitlement imo.

Different world.
Some wouldn’t play now if they broke their Hair Band!

Not as such, I agree. My point (somewhat hidden I confess) was the Neal didnt expect to play. There was no "that's my place, I earned it" so if he had been recovering with a broken toe, he wouldnt have expected to walk straight back onto the pitch and match day team.
That comment by Salah is the real sludge. He has shown contempt for the rest of the squad and the manager, and that is what stinks and I really think he has misjudged how people would take his attitude and comments.
I wouldnt wait until the summer now to sell him. January it would be now for me.

Totally agree with you.

Real are only a few points off top too.

I think if they sacked him a lot of clubs would be looking to bring him in.
