United with that front three will always be dangerous - Mbeumo and Cunha are very very good players and Sesko will imo come good , they will score goals , not sure the set up will help them stop goals

And Sunderland are a very physical side

Brilliant goal for their equaliser but then even better defending there to stop Arsenal getting another

Really? That is almost as big an overreaction as United fans claiming we’re world beaters having won three on the spin. United were never going to go on a winning streak extending to five, ten or more games. Not given their form over the last year or more. Football isn’t like that.

I would counter your rather predictable suggestion by saying that having fallen behind as United have done in the last two games, they are both matches which would have been lost last season. 100%.

The differences are starting to appear for all to see. There does, at long last, appear to be a shape and cohesion. But the biggest shift has been in mentality. The mentality of this United squad is an absolute world away from where it was last season.

The issue with that is it isn't actually true. You went behind at City last season and won, just one example. The team also dug in and played for the shirt just as much as they did at Livepool recently, where you claimed that showed things has changed. There was zero difference to win at City last season to the win at Liverpool this season, apart from your biased eyes. Outplayed over the 90 minsutes and scraped a lucky win.

Nothing has changed except your 3/4 best players stepping up. You're still a mess and will get exposed when you have a tough run again.

Utd don't win, they are back in the doldrums again.

Typical over-reaction.

Draws away at Forest and Spurs are no disaster. It is clear Utd still have some big holes in their squad, and as such, won't go out and dominate every game. But at least they are starting to more frequently give their opponents a good test

You've spent over a billion on this team and you're happy they're scraping points at Forest and Spurs 😅

Never change 😅

Not happy. Always want to win.

But, I'm a realist. It isn't going to happen all the time. And given I'm not arrogant or deluded enough to think we'll just breeze into the Top 4 or 5 this season, it means Utd will inevitably drop points. Therefore, draws away at Spurs and Forest can be expected. Utd will probably also have some stinking losses as well. But, if we at least start making forward steps, that'll do me.

The billion dollars is completely irrelevant, because everyone agrees Utd have bought poorly over years. However, you've already complimented some of the players who have arrived more recently. So, that is the progress we want. It wasnt like Utd were going to solve all their issues in one summer window

As I said, predictable. And deliberately obtuse. Hand picking isolated games to try and support your agenda merely underlines what anyone who frequents this sub forum can see for themselves - despite your professed soft spot for Manchester United you will continue to seize upon any and every opportunity to berate the club.

Forest and Spurs away are precisely the sort of games United would have lost last season, had the circumstances of both games been the same. Every United fan knows it, because we have become so used to seeing it.

The club hasn’t suddenly turned into title contenders. I don’t see anyone here saying that, certainly not me, despite my “biased eyes”. But there appear to be signs that things are changing, most notably a collective mentality which has been absent for years, despite the odd, isolated good performance.

You keep trawling through the archives all you want. But all you are really illustrating is where the bias truly lies.

United seemed to of developed a unity and willingness to work hard for each other that has been absent in recent years.
Whether that’s because of the players that have been shipped out not creating problems I don’t know but that all seem up for the fight currently.
If they have the quality to finish top 4 remains to be seen but fans of all clubs will always back the players if they can see they are fighting for the club.

At present, going forward, I’d say Utd are good for top 4. But leaking goals takes them down a good few places. They’ve leaked 18 goals, and only 4 teams are worse.

I like what I’m seeing - very entertaining up top. I can see them only getting better, and a good Jan window might add some steel defensively.

Two terrible penalty decisions in the Brwntford - Newcastle game.

First one a clear penalty ( for Brentford) but VAR decided minimal contact. Second one there was virtually no contact and ref awards a penalty upheld by VAR in Brentfords favour and even worse a 2ndcyellow card for Dan Burn.

Mind you...Newcastle have been utterly awful in the 2nd half and deserve nothing from the game from thr 35 minutes ive seen so far.

Not sure why he cant go on loan anywhere? The club that loans him could still pay him within their means, City make up shortfall. It is not as if City really have any need for him
He's had a couple of loans and they haven't worked. The teams he went to stopped playing him. Perhaps other teams have seen this and don't want to take the risk.

He might need to drop a division, go abroad on loan. He needs a kick start to his career or he will just disappear. Such a shame, he showed real promise, had an excellent spell in his career that led to the City move

Because of her clubs have realised he’s. It good enough to improve their squads. Factor in the the % of wage they’d have to pay for someone that’s been well below par for a few years it’s just not worth the risk.

Not convinced he even gets in a top championship team so his options are limited. I think his best bet is a move to a lesser league maybe a French team, somewhere in a lower Spanish side or the US his career I think is beyond rebuilding in the premier league.

If he wants to play at a decent level he needs to move on asap. He’s 30 in a month’s time. He won’t be match fit, nor sharp. Lower prem at best but more like the championship.

He could go to a club like Lincoln. Man City pay him £145k a week, lincoln 5k a week.

You'd think he'd push to go anywhere just to kick a football in a game. And City wont be missing out anyway.

I guess when you play football for a living, for some players it no longer holds the same joy as having a kickaround with mates. Maybe he has lost his drive

He could do that but he clearly isn’t pushing for it. His whole
Demeanour as a player seemed to change once he went to City almost like “I’ve made it now I don’t need to try”

It was evident during his loans at EST Ham and Ipswich he just wasn’t putting the effort in like it was beneath him as he was now a top player at a top club.

Seems happy to collect his pay and not push on. There was rumours he wanted to go to Leeds but they didn’t want him. That’s why I see a move abroad to a lesser league as his only redemption bit like Sancho he thinks teams here should want him not him have to work. But just my opinion on what I’ve seen.
