Being an unused sub in a 5-1 win is a fairly poor indictment of his fledgling Chelsea career. It will be genuinely interesting to see where he is in five years.
Made the same point to a Chelsea fan (one of the most blinkered I have ever come across) who defended him by saying that most of the first team were rested. This would be a fair argument until you look at his season so far, 2 x PL appearances, 1 x CL and then 1 on as sub. He's played 131 minutes this season so hardly in need of a break. If you're not going to play in last night's match amongst the youngsters when are you going to play him. I still maintain that joining Chelsea with the ridiculously sized squad is going to be one of the worst career moves he could have made. I know he only stayed in the PL to prove a point to United but so far that's not going well especially when you consider he could be at Bayern or any other number of top European clubs, probably getting more minutes in the process.
