Micah Richards did a good piece on MOTD, where all Amorim does when making subs is to change personal but for them to play in same system. Either they directly replace a player, or players are shifted into other positions, but in still in the 3-4-3 system.

I thought, crikey, Amorim is that obvious that it has even allowed Richards to offer logical critique on it. That is a low point

It gives the new guy a few days to bed in before the Liverpool game. I appreciate many of the players will be away on international duty but at least he and his staff can be in and set up for when they all return.

Wait until after the Liverpool game, they are into the cut and thrust immediately. If it's going to happen then at least do a West Ham and get on with it.

This is the weirdest take on a manager I've ever seen.

He's more bothered about media, pundits and fans telling him 'I told you so' than actually winning games?

The fact is he's always played that system and only knows that system. It was why Liverpool passed him by. He's a very young and inexperienced manager and knows nothing else. He won't change because he can't. It's nothing to do with the fourth estate.

He was worth a chance as an up and coming manager but it was clear after 6 months he was way short of what was required. He should've been released at the end of the season. There's no shame in making a dud appointment, it happens. The shame is letting a dud manager hang around too long and destroy yet another season. The worrying thing is Man Utd did the same with OGS, ETH and now Amorim.

I've got no faith in them appointing the right manager next, it seems the club made a big mistake in picking Barrada over Ashworth.

It’s a tough one. Get rid now and it gives a new guy the Sunderland game + the international break + a week with the team before the Liverpool game. Wait till the next international but that’s 7 weeks away.

Can Amorim do enough in 7 weeks to keep his job? Personally, I’ve not seen anything in him to suggest he’s good enough for the Prem.
 
Watching motd this morning, how did Brighton not get a penalty for the foot up whack by Gusto 😳

Also, the 3rd Brentford goal 😬. Surely the new keeper has to start the next game. That shot was right down the middle, head height, and he's dived low and out of its way. He's had a shocker 🫣
 
Who would look to go to United ?

Glasner - after what happened in the summer with Guehi would show a high level of hypocrisy

Southgate ? - think he would jump at the job and would also do a better job

I think refs are trying to discredit VAR and get rid given some of the decisions this season.
 
As an Everton fan, I've seen two handball shouts not given today that were minimal in difference, or not at all, to two we had against us earlier in the season 🤬. Not that I'm bitter or anything but ............ okay I am
