Massive performance and result.

We need to keep the wingers and stop trying to cram playmakers like Foden and Palmer there.

England under Tuchel until this international break looked lost, slow and uninspiring.

Stick Geordie Maradona in the midfield and we look like some slick South American team in their prime.

Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
Hence my comment should he be shifted for Big name players. 🤔

I would also chuck Mr Lah de dah Bellingham in the mix as well for keeping the bench warm.

It's funny how square pegs in square holes actually work isn't it?

We saw almost every player in their best position and we put on a demolition job. Serbia are no mugs and the odds weren't far off evens. To go there, win 5-0 and dominate every single bit of data is impressive.

I just worry when the big names come back they'll be shoved in. For me it's between Palmer and Bellingham for that spot Rodgers played so well tonight. Saka obviously coming in at RW too but great he's got proper competition.

It was nice to see us have players with speed who like to use it.
The likes of Foden,Bellingham, palmer even Saka all like the ball at their feet and they all like to be the ones who play the ball through to assist the goal but play them all together and we have nobody making the run through.
The 2 wide lads both were happy to make runs in behind which works great when Kane drops deeper and both were happy to take on their full backs and no defender likes playing against pace.

Regardless of Bellingham’s arrogance he has proven himself on the biggest stage and whilst Rogers is a very good playwr Bellingham should be in that 10 spot

Watching the second half what allowed players a bit more freedom was the base provided by Rice and Anderson - Rice played in the role that IMO is his best - he sits there and helps dictate but then can go forward and then Anderson can sit

They work like a double pivot - the way Liverpools two work and it gets the best out of both - you can also having Bellingham there next to Rice and bring Palmer into the ten - there are some good options for England

I hadn’t realised till you mentioned Kane dropping deeper. He’s rarely done it recently. Change of manager??

He certainly has done it less under Tuchel.
It can work and cause problems if we then have runners going beyond him, which we did last night.

I didn’t see much of the game at the weekend but a pal said “ players were making runs, but no one was finding them”. MGW Tried when he came on for 10 minutes, but yesterday the runners were found.👍

I’m confused didn’t you post that you watched the game, it was rammel and questioned why we were playing a Defensive midfielder

I thought Wales had a great result last night until I discovered it was football not ice hockey!😁

For further amusement, I posted that verbatim on the BBC chat. I got an email saying it had been removed and wasn't acceptable.

Be as rude as you like about England. Dis the Welsh or Scots, you'll get a ban!🤣🤣🤣

I have taken myself off the BBC site. Bottom line it is rammel. Some of the non stories are just looking at getting clicks re discussion. It also confirms my belief that the village idiots have learned to type. God help us when they learn to breed. Some of there comments which the BBC allow are quite astonishing.

To be fair, Iain Carter is good, the rest of them are as you say. ;)

Just seen this pointed out, which illustrates the manager-merry-go-round quite well.

Thomas Frank has gone to one of Ange Postecoglou's old clubs.

Ange Postecoglou has gone to one of Steve Cooper's old clubs.

Steve Cooper has gone to one of Thomas Frank's old clubs.

If the average Joe fails at his job he’s sacked, and a bit of digging by a prospective employer will reveal he’s been sacked. A footie manager fails and he’s given a golden parachute, and then jumps back on the merry-go-round, with his new employer knowing he’s been sacked for failing, you get your ‘rinse, recycle & repeat.’

It’s a modern day Mick McCarthy, big Sam, Ian Holloway and a few others Groundhog Day. 😁
