You seem to think that if a bigger club come knocking that clubs have to sell.Or the club want to get rid.
Contracts not worth the paper they are written on now.
This sets a very bad example imo.
Leaving it until the last day was just very very bad management, not the first time for Palace this season with their paperwork.!
I was talking about Palace not Liverpool they stopped it on the final day !They didn’t leave it to the last day , a bid was put in before the last day
They first approached Palace after the Community shield and owner was open about him being sold
Leave our Lord out of it.Let it be known.....
Here, on the 3rd day of September, in the year of our lord 2025.
Don Barzini and Arthur Wedge agreed about something!

Apart from accepting the bid then pulling out because the manager threw his toys out like Isak and Wissa! You seem to think that if a bigger club come knocking that clubs have to sell.
They don’t.
Liverpool had the full transfer window to bid for him,it’s then upto Palace if they accept the bid.
I honestly can’t see how Palace have done anything wrong here.
I remember in the last transfer window, Man Utd were being lambasted by a certain Liverpool fan because they didn't meet Everton's asking price of £70 million for Branthwaite.
Now we are discussing why Guehi is not worth £50 million to Liverpool.
No idea what the state of Branthwaite's contract was at the time, I believe he later signed an extension? But just in terms of the players themselves, does it seem about right that Guehi is only worth half as much as Branthwaite? I'd have thought £40-50 million for Guehi, even with a year left on his contract, would be a steal.
The top 7?? This is Palace, they will finish between 10th and 13th as always, with or without Guehi.Just whipping it out there that Palace can make more than 30m by finishing in the top 7 with Guehi as apposed to finishing 10/12th without him plus a good run in the ECL.
Worth keeping for the season IMO. They're a solid side this year and can go deep in Europe with him in the side.
I think the whole thing will have soured relations between Parish and Glasner as a result. Theres no way Parish will want to see a player walk for nothing when the player has already refused all contract offers.Apart from accepting the bid then pulling out because the manager threw his toys out like Isak and Wissa!
The fact his replacement backed out has nothing to do with Liverpool.
I think the biggest problem for palace could be prem football alongside European football. That said am sure the Palace fans are going to enjoy the ride. The top 7?? This is Palace, they will finish between 10th and 13th as always, with or without Guehi.
Wirtz hasn't exactly looked like an upgrade on Diaz just yet.Top comment under this Tweet:

Hmmmm, well perhaps for one forumer. And this sums up this footie forum and a few others on here. When it is not there club, the gloves are off. When it is there club they are like an ostrich with its head in the sand.![]()

He's a different player altogether with a different role.Wirtz hasn't exactly looked like an upgrade on Diaz just yet.
Parish had said a while ago that he would rather sell the player now than let him walk for nothing as there was no chance he was signing a new contract.Threw his toys out?
He doesn’t owe Liverpool anything,he’s made a decision that’s best for HIS club![]()

It didn’t help when the manager told the replacement that he wouldn’t be getting much playing time and also the lad they did sign wouldn’t be the replacementParish had said a while ago that he would rather sell the player now than let him walk for nothing as there was no chance he was signing a new contract.
The problem Palace had was that they didn't get the replacements in early enough, which the manager didn't like.
It's easy to see both sides of the arguement
