Looks like it’s pretty much done

On his way for medical etc

Think it’s a very good signing and will prob start the ball rolling for Isak going now

Both Wissa and Larsen want to leave and go to Newcastle so will be down to how much they want to spend
on balance, watching his two finishes against WHU the other night....I'll take Larsen....his first finish was utterly instinctive, sharp and clinical and he's a few years younger....I wouldn't complain if it was Wissa though but not at 60m....45m absolute tops.

Seems that they view Larsen as the same type of player as Woltemade

Think that’s a very good signing , really do

Getting him and Wissa adds a very good front line

Looks like it could turn out well for Newcastle then having now seen the new lads stats, get Wissa and that’s a good window.

I can’t see Wolves letting Strand-Larson go, he does look good from what I’ve seen but if he goes they literally push themselves further into a relegation battle.

If the board had gone for Southgate, the fan reaction would have been worse than any of the anti Glazer protests.
That’s what I find funny about it. Fans would bitch and moan saying it’s a disgrace of an appointment and look what you’ve had in the last 2 big names that fans wanted!

Should’ve gone with the safe hands because right now he’d do a hell of a job and steady that ship fast!

You see, I don’t get the clamour for Southgate.

He has done precisely nothing in club management, and despite reaching the latter stages of international tournaments with England, nobody will ever convince me, given the talent at his disposal, that his tenure was anything other than a succession of huge under achievement.

And compared to Amorim!!!

I’m not saying he’d set the world alight, but his experience he’s gained from internationals I think he’d be far better than what you have!

Agreed, in the words of Kevin Keegan, id have loved it had he gone to United. Think he's anything but the safe pair of hands mentioned by Phil!

Luckily Amorim is also doing an excellent job.

There was an interesting article in The Athletic the other day about the changing nature of sponsorship, and the ban on betting sponsorship on shirt fronts from the start of next season, leaving a £100m black hole. The article pointed to future sponsorship being driven by Financial Technology, Tourism, AI and Crypto Exchanges who are already extensive sponsors in F1

...and Newcastle yesterday announced a partnership with Crypto Finance Company BYDFi

We might be *** in the transfer market (until this evening) but someone seems to have their fingers on the pulse of driving off field commercial income!!!

What do you base that on?

I repeat, he has absolutely ZERO pedigree as a club manager. None. And I will maintain until I draw my last breath that a decent manager would have won one, if not two, of the tournaments which England under Southgate managed to make a complete mess of.

But we’ve always celebrated glorious failure in this country. It’s what we do.

I've given Southgate a lot of stick over the years.....but I actually think he would do well at Utd. Maybe not to win the PL or CL but to take you from the mess you're in now to a Top 4 team, ready for the next manager to make the final step.

Man manager and will create a great atmosphere around the place
Likes to play 4231 which would suit Utd
Also switched formations up over the years
Steady the dodgy defence
Likes to play wingers which is what Utd are all about
Keeps things simple
Operated under more pressure for England so won't be phased by ihe pressure at Old Trafford
Excellent with the media

He's unproven at club level but he would've learnt so much from his time as England manager. A better choice than a flavour of the month manager from second rate leagues.

I base it on exactly what 4LEX has written below. What are people basing Amorim being a decent manager on! Doing bits in Portugal where had pretty much the best team and no real competition. Amorim is being found out and now imo Southgate would be a much better pair of hands than the guy who looked like he frantically playing Subuteo in the touch line trying to figure out how to not lose the Grimsby. But as I say just my opinion.
