Billy I can think of 115 reasons why I am sick and tired of digs at my club. But it is what it is.
City have gone from Everyone’s favourite second club to public enemy number one. It is what it is.
My thoughts on Utd are exactly the same as what the Utds fans have been for the last 10 years. Mine are probably toned down a bit compared to the Utds fans fans that pay to follow there club.
If Utd are happy with there dated stadium ( and there not coz scruffy Jim wants taxpayer money to build a new one) then fine. But in the last X years City have extended there stadium twice to meet demand. Spurs have built the best stadium In the world. West Ham have moved into the world’s largest council house.
I get your narked at the constant digs. But City losing one game don’t solve the problems at Utd.
I’d say like all fans your bias as being a supporter blinds you to the arrogance, pettiness and defensiveness of your club. This isn’t a dig by the way it’s a genuine observation of every single fan up and down the country myself included when defending my own club.

You’ve highlighted it yourself in your digs in this post at West Ham moving to a council house, suggesting your own fans are toned down which btw isn’t true no fans are toned down at any club we just don’t see our own faults only that of others. As for the 115 reasons that’s not the fault of other fans for being annoyed at that, that’s the fault of your club for committing the offences whether you choose to accept that or not it’s a matter of fact in the public eye the trial is still ongoing.

Perhaps time for everyone to acknowledge each fan base has its own problems and none of us are perfect instead of resorting to playground tactics and constantly bating each other. But I don’t have a dog in the fight just an observer on the outside looking in.

I totally agree with this post.

Even the most ardent Liverpool fan would admit they admire the way United built on their success in the 90s and more and they are still reaping the rewards of it despite not being at their best on the pitch

The only thing I would add is I can never remember anybody claiming City was their second team?

Not sure why you keep peddling this idea about being “everyone’s favourite second team”

As for the constant digs - blame your owners for that and the fans that turn a blind eye to their actions

The whole “woe is me” is all a bit false

I literally don’t know anyone that would claim City as their “second team”!

I’m a Reading fan but it I’ll follow Arsenals results as my 15 year old lad likes them so I watch games with him but even they wouldn’t be my second team!

But if Reading ever went bust and I was forced to pick a Second team it would be a team like Forest with their history and what I grew up seeing. But never City 😂

It was so annoying during the 90’s and 00’s how well run United were - they built their success and just kept building on top of it

Oh it was horrible don’t get me wrong, I hated every minute of it.

I also admired what they did how they went about it and as I said previously was envious of it.

Much better now that the football universe has righted itself though 😂

and it makes what has happened over the last 10 years even better!

Not sure that’s actually addressed the point I made at all, Tash, if I’m honest.

I’ll be blunt and say I’m sick and tired of the digs at my club, the owners, the ground, and everything attached to United. In the last few days you suggested United are widely disliked because of the Glazers. That’s so ridiculous it’s laughable. Fans of other clubs don’t dislike United because of the Glazers. They take the piss out of us. You’re more wide of the mark than when Steve Harmison sent his opening delivery of an Ashes series in Australia to second slip.

The constant swipes at “the swamp” are boring. Sorry. You may think the ground is crap, but it remains a stadium that United can pack with 60,000 fans for a pre season friendly. They still sell out every Premier League game the day the fixture list is announced, despite being in the doldrums for well over a decade. It’s a virtual impossibility for a life long member like me to get tickets for any game nearly two months before the season even starts. I manage to get to games, but am reliant on tickets being returned in the week or so prior to match days.

Few clubs can say that. And certainly not yours. Yet still you deride United at every opportunity. Sorry, but it’s just white noise. I’m expected to suck it up. But woe betide me if I dare to point out the blindingly obvious about another club.
To be honest I know we are one of the biggest teams in the world who plays in one of the best stadiums, yes it needs bringing up to date but it'll get there.
I'd get worried if they weren't obsessed with us rather than they are.
Tashyboy can call it the slum if he wants I'll call the Eastlands housing association building, a council house. I'll take no offence. Same as Anfield having a lean to put on doesn't make it a world class stadium.
PS. I know should one ever come across a tribe of indigenous people in the Amazon who have had little contact with the outside world they'd ask "Best,Charlton" they'd never ask "Francis Lee or Dennis Tueart" or "Sammy Lee and Tommy Smith!" That's fame for you.
It's banter Billysboots let them banter away, because we know!

They would ask “Kenny,Rush” though 😉😁

Who paid for Man City’s stadium again ?

Owned by City of Manchester isn’t it ?

Does that make it the second largest council house in the world then

That’s quite an impressive stadium - looks like something you see in Germany
I believe they went across to Germany to look at what they had to replicate the noise created over there. If it looks German then the architects have followed the brief 👍

It's built to be a football stadium first and foremost, not for concerts or American football etc

The whole “woe is me” is getting beyond boring. The rules City broke do, in many cases, need rewriting but they were the rules in place.

Chelsea bought their success too but within the rules at that time. City cheated their way to success, and I’d celebrate if those achievements were wiped off the record books.

Note, back in the 60’s & 70’s I was a plastic City fan but I can’t accept they’ve won anything fairly since.
