IF a promise was made it might have been a good idea to get it in writing

Unless that promise is in writing then it’s irrelevant. Clubs and businesses don’t run on gentleman’s agreements, if they did then it makes contracts irrelevant. Sounds like Isak needs to suck it up.

That's just a basic life experience, which I'm sure most of us have experienced at some time or another, throughout our careers.
Using words like "trust" and "broken promises" and " relationships can't continue" is simply looking for excuses to justify an easy way out and support his position.
Whilst many may have a degree of sympathy for his position, im not sure that too many would condone his way of going about matters.
If he is that desperate to leave thecrelationship he should hand in an official transfer request, instead of downing tools and spitting his dummy.

For me if you want to leave the club you are currently at then there is a way of doing it with respect and dignity.
If reports are true only 1 official bid has been made. How many bids have Liverpool actually made?
They check every single penalty, red card and offside decision (when goal scored).I suspect that VAR did get involved. They would have had a check and decided that it was a penalty so no need to go any further. They check so much more than people realise during a game and not just when when the game is stopped for 5 minutes at a time.
When Isak put pen to paper and signed his contract, he promised to play for Newcastle United until 2028. Newcastle promised to pay him £120,000 a week.Whenever "management" changes, I think it is wise to understand that promises made by the old management might not be honoured by the new management.
