I do think are some of their players thinking they need to play on the bigger stage.
With no disrespect to the French League, the Premier League and La Liga are both bigger with arguably also the Bundesliga and serie A. Will huge wages be enough to keep their players?
When Luis Enriquez came in he said “ I want a football team, not a team
Of superstars” since Messi and Mbappe went. Dembelee and others have had there shackles taken off.
The comparisons between pep and Enrique are quite astonishing. Both started their managerial careers at Barca B. Both have gone onto have fantastic managerial careers. What is surprising is that Enrique played at both Barca and Real Madrid.
PSG Have the massive foundations of a very good dynasty. Especially with the financial firepower at there disposal.
For me the thought of there best players leaving to play in better leagues is not a problem For the club. They will be replaced like Neymar, Messi, Mbappe. ( oddly enough I just read that I actually saw Mbappes first two champions league games via City).
The biggest worry for PSG would be if Enrique decided to leave PSG to try his luck managing in a different tougher league. One thing enrique did have in common with Pep until he went to City was he managed a few clubs before Arriving. at PSG. However he may well find he is as happy at PSG as Pep is at City. If that turns out to be the case. PSG could dominate world club football for the next five years plus.
In a positive. It is very good to watch.

Not Chelsea but the others , yes I'd say it is. Like man city , massive financial doping but with psg they are being lauded as some kind of saviours post their galactico era.
The massive financial doping has seen a club bought for £220 million now worth £4.5 billion. The club is supposed to be running under the crap that is FFP but are now in the middle of spending another £300 million of the OWNERS money extending the stadium And building a hotel on the back of said stadium. How’s that right.
Like I have said. FFP is embarrassing

Totally agree and a lot of my resentment towards the like of Wrexham is based on jealousy. However, what I don't agree with is all the fawning and lovey dovey towards them when it isn't a fairy tale, it is a cheque book that has got them the success. What I also fear is other lower league teams with owners who think they have the financial clout to do the same, try and replicate the Wrexham model , bankrupt the club and spoil it for the fans.
If your a fan of football you can give your opinion without having rose timted
Glasses. Unless it is your own club.
Unfortunately for fans of some clubs and I am not going to google them
All. But some clubs have gone bankrupt without massive injections of cash into said clubs. Bury is one that springs to mind, plus Darlington, Halifax, Macclesfield, Hereford. Etc etc. One club that is interesting is Wimbledon that became MK DONS. AFC Wimbledon were set up as an amateur club and have now progressed to the football league. unfortunately one that is very close to going on a
Massive downward spiral is Sheff Weds.
My point being, money don’t necessarily buy success or failure. The bad running of a club does. Me am chuffed to bits seeing Wrexham and there fans Having a fairytale run.

But doesn’t being a fan of football mean you want the best team to win, not the one with the most money - the gulf between the haves and the never will have is getting so great now. Leagues within leagues and the rich just getting richer.

Sheffield Wednesday are on a downward spiral because they have tried to join the big boys and found out it is too expensive.

But last year Liverpool won the title. And they never had the most money. Same with Leeds, Birmingham.
Big clubs but not the richest.
The thing is as well that even happens in the champions league.
That’s probably one of the beauty’s of the FA cup. The chance of a giant killing upset 😂

If you mean Leeds and Birmingham were not the richest within their respective leagues then I have no idea who had greater financial resources than each of them.

Agree. Both clubs had big budgets in their respective divisions but possibly still not big enough to compete at the next level. Can see both struggling next season

Clearly not been keeping up with things at Birmingham. Seven signings already who all appear to be more than capable of playing at the higher levels of the Championship.

Forest losing MGW to Spurs. Not sure how they paid us around 40m and put a release clause of only 60m in? Seems a bit low.
Not happened yet. Hopefully it'll fall through. Resigned to maybe losing him to a top team; can't deal with losing him to relegation fodder.

Will also add that’s two big players Forest are losing as well

They maybe getting £100mil but the impact of losing MGW could be significant

£60mil seems a low release clause

Might not have known his true value when they signed him I suppose?

I’ve no idea if he’s signed a new deal since he’s been there but if he has they messed up 😂
