Mbappe and Lamal are different players
Mbappe was dragging his country to winning a World Cup at the age of 19 and then to another final 4 years later
He is massively talented and his goal record for club and country is outstanding
Even in a Madrid team that doesn’t set up for him he is their top scorer - 22 goals in 29 games and has scored for fun his whole career - no chance he can be written off

Madrid are always going to create chances especially in La Liga where there arguably 5-6 competitve sides and the rest would do well to finish bottom third of the PL. Again with France it is still a talented side and half of the 48 goals have come in world cup and Euro qualifiers and another 10 in friendlies so I suggest there needs to be some context
Not so sure he’s overrated but it’s very noticeable how much better PSG are as a team, without their superstar contingent.

Is the Mbappe v Lamal debate just the modern age Messi v Ronaldo debate? Which essentially becomes absurd, because instead of talking about 2 fantastic players, people simply try and mock the ability of one player because they prefer the other?
True, Mbappe has played in a "farmers" league for the start of his career. But, he has been brilliant nonetheless. He has scored 56 goals in the Champions League which is decent. Also scored 22 in La Liga this year, with 3 assists. I gather Madrid haven't been great, and Mbappe has scored 1/3 of their goals. Lamal 6 goals with 14 assists.
I can't say I have watched either player loads (as I don't watch French or Spanish football), but they are both quality. I think any fan would take a 26 year old Mbappe over a 26 year old Walcott

It’s a different dynamic - PSG got to a CL final in the past with them , adding Messi in 2020 I think messed it up a little but with Mbappe there before they were still consistently high performers for years

Champions league record is decent although again in a PSG and Real side you would expect them to be scoring against group opposition. There is rarely an issue qualifying.
