Can’t really blame the ref for that one as he wasn’t best placed - but he got absolutely no help from his assistant who was 5 yards away with a clear view.

I've seen worse challenges not given red, not sure it is "clear and obvious"
That being said, I don't think any slip is a reasonable defence. His foot slipped as he went into the challenge. Is that not the definition of it being out of control, thus if it ends up being dangerous you run the risk of red.
Would be more forgiving if he slipped not intending to challenge a player, with the outcome of him colliding with an opponent

Possibly the worst performance I've seen from United all season, it's utterly toothless.

Nearly every game is awful, from an attacking perspective anyway.
This game has been dire, but I have seen them play much much much worse. As much as I try and erase those games from my memory

We were simply garbage yesterday - in every aspect.
Fans - club sold tickets so weirdly, away fans/those that generate atmosphere were spread about so far that we didn’t get anything going. Club should have sold tickets differently and packed all of us together.
Palace got it Bob on, their fans were absolutely unreal yesterday. Full credit to them, all their Ultras together and never ever stopped.
Players - seemed to have nothing to give. 2 mistakes leading to 2 goals, no cutting edge at all. Worst performance of this season so far in one of the most significant games.
Palace - gave it 100% for 90 minutes, played it like it was the semi final and battled for everything. Wharton in particular is just superb, he’s likely to be pinched by someone I assume but they should demand a massive fee for him, he’s a cracking player. (As are Eze and Sarr)
I told many people we’d lose yesterday, palace seem to know how to play against us and we haven’t beaten them all season across 4 games!
Better team on the day won 100%.
Unfortunately I’m now rooting for City to win the FA cup so a europa league spot drops to Villa rather than conference league. Bad times.
Onwards we move, we have a tough finish to the season to deal with and then let’s see what we can do this summer to keep the squad moving forward.
