Everyone admits that Moyes stayed a season too long, he was a busted flush.
I said earlier that Potter is getting on my tits with his strange substitutes and weakness in benching the only decent striker we have because he had the guts to say what Potter himself should have been saying. But I have not been calling for his head
Potter is not a good manager, his record is poor and he has had zero success. But I realise it’s not his team and will give him time (although Moyes at Everton and the Wolves fella have excelled with someone else’s players. They just coached them better.)
If you can watch that performance today and last week against Southampton and NOT moan then I don’t think you are that bothered about West Ham.

As I will say again. It's pre season. The results count for NOTHING.

We played well today. It was an entertaining game that we lost. It happens.

Give him a summer to build a team with his midfield and I Guarantee he will get it right. Much better manager than you give him credit for.

Potter did ok at Brighton , they had a very good recruitment team there that spent and sold very well - he got them to 9th but then De Zerbia took them on even further

Potter will be mid table at best , and certainly not going to do any better than what Moyes did

Are you sure ,about the shots.? I thought they were nowhere near threatening the goal. Seemed to faff around in their own half, as if on a training day.
No urgency at all.
Fully deserved to lose.

Seemed to spend a large amount of time fannying about with it on the edge of their own box though.

I’m not an advocate for even more stats in football. But I’d genuinely welcome an extra stat just beneath the possession one that was titled something along the lines of “percentage of time passing across your defensive and midfield lines in your own half that ultimately leads you to nowhere”.

There’s maybe a more succinct way of putting it than that, but you get the gist.

Forest Vs palace final would be outstanding for football. Id definitely be tuning in to see either of them win (would have with villa aswell) don't get the wrong nothing against city but it's good to see someone else win

The trophies he has won in his time at City, well it has worked for us. And in the early years it worked really well. The problems started when other clubs followed Peps lead with players that are/ were not capable of playing that way. And that includes Keepers. Couple with the fact that teams found the best way to defend against possession football was well to defend and defend in numbers.Something Forest do very very well and will probably do today.
 
I mentioned the other day about Villa and there quest for the top five. I mentioned there defence. I did say that they can score goals but they had the 8th worst defence re conceding in the Prem. It bit them on the bum yesterday. ☹️
 
So I had a chance of a ticket and turned it down. It was the right choice as I am rough this morning after a fantastic family do. As I have mentioned. My nieces Aussie boyfriend is using my ticket. He got on a train at Newark and the train is a wall of red. 😁
His new City shirt is well hidden. Bro in law and his son went down in the previous train and are meeting him at King’s Cross.
He is absolutely buzzing about going to corporate Wembley.
 
Ancelotti in talks about Brazil job. Sorted himself out before the end of season before being pushed . Alonso odds on favourite to replace him. Great guy and should never have gone from Chelsea
