Personally Wheni saw Rice running to the Utd fans and telling them to shush, I thought he came across as a grade one clown.
I read something the other week that made me smile.
Liverpool win the title beating the team ( City) that arsenal won the title off a month before. And there in lies part of the problem with Arsenal. They have won the title lord knows how many times in February.

Given our propensity to play worse in the second half in recent matches, I'm not sure I really want to watch another 45 minutes. Definitely signs of players with one eye on the League Cup Final.

It's a shame Livramento doesn't have a left foot. So much space down that side but he is cutting back every time.

Yes...really think that Barnes needs to step up and show a bit more aggression down the left...cant keep leaving it to the left back...its not really his job. Just looks like no one is playing at anything more than 75% effort.

All it is going to take is for one of these teams to up the intensity for 10 or 15 minutes and they'll grab a goal or two and finish the game off at a canter.

The refs get a lot of stick but the one at Anfield yesterday was very good

I disagree, that 1st pen is just not a penalty.

Another ref & VAR shocker in the Newcastle game. Obvious push by Isak, didn’t even attempt to play the ball. imagine if a Chelsea player did that…. oh, they did, just a few weeks ago against Brighton… Ref gave a foul, VAR backed him up….

Almost as if they don’t have a clue isn’t it.

April going to be key for CL qualification with four home games (Brentford, Man U, Palace, Ipswich) and away games at Leicester and Villa.

Tough finish in May with away matches at Brighton and Arsenal and home games against Chelsea and Everton.

Lots of points to be shared around the top group of teams in the coming weeks.

It's just in the press is all, nothings overly changed. Commentary say anything to fill dead air. There was a few times yesterday they said stuff where like "todibo coming off after 60 mins not sure if he has a knock" when in past what 2-3 games it's been the same so it's a lack of research. Just saying what they think not what they know

Paquata could get a lifetime ban. The fact is tho he is still innocent, and it should never have been leaked by someone at the fa until they were ready to charge him. Also it's gone to civil court rather than criminal court were a lot of people who understand these things more than me say something about the 51% rule to prove guilt. Not sure how well a lifetime ban would hold up in an appeals court on 51%

End of the day it's just money, if he isn't banned he will be sold for say 50 million let's just put that price there.. if he is banned we have lost 50 million but we won Europa from his pass.. we have had signing like Haller, vlasic and scamacca signed for over 30 mil each then sold for a lot less so it's just writing off of funds.

In reality the fa have just saved city money as the deal for 80 million was happening but they leaked the reports to get city out of the deal

Quick add, Paqueta was also charged with two breaches of FA Rule F3 in respect of alleged failures to comply pursuant to FA Rule F2, which relates to providing information and documents.

This for example is complete rubbish, he handed his phone over when first requested, they had it like 3 months and returned it. He had a new phone by then because he's rich. Let's be honest .. just get a new phone. He then got rid of it and when asked for it 3 months later he gets that

I toddled along to this last night, and I'm not sure it's completely fair. West Ham are a pretty compromised team atm, and Newcastle are a worst case oppo - they press really effectively all over the pitch and give very little time on the ball to anyone. WHU midfield just doesn't have the quality (until Paq came on) to break down that sort of problem. I don't think they're deliberately passive, they're just not good enough.
Added to which, without a centre forward (again, the product of disastrous squad construction), our two best players are slightly out of position and don't have anyone to play off.
Apart from that...!
Our Keeper played really well, which says plenty. A couple of very sharp stops in the first half and a worldy in the second.

They said on the radio (murphy I think it was) first half he had soucek and Alvarez moving out wide which is asking a lot of them and very hard work. Means our full backs stay central more and stay on barnes and Murphy. Had to change it second half

Obviously changed when paquata came on after his injury return.

Potter is doing an excellent job. We have face 3 teams , 2 of them in the run for the top 4 and let in 1 goal .. we have become harder to break down. He is then having to get an attack going without Antonio, fulkerg and Summerville. First game he had fulkerg and Summerville looking outstanding against villa.

Only things I was torn on was 1 whilst I want to see scarles as much as possible he should have come off. Seems scared to put crosses in, like he doesn't have the confidence ATM. Emerson would have opened them more

I am sure that is probably the case. There just didn't seem a great deal of urgency until the very end. If Newcastle didn't allow that, they should be applauded for suppressing WH

He sums up everything I think about it. Obviously I’m over the moon with the season Forest are having but he’s spot on when he says we won’t be able to sustain it long term - because of the way the rules are set up. We’ll find ourselves having the same struggles as Newcastle and Villa are experiencing.

I get that there probably have to be rules around this. And I don’t know what the solution is really. But come on guys…..whether you support one of the Sky Six or not……are we as fans really happy with the fact that the current rules are massively weighted in favour of those clubs? Does anyone really and truly believe that anyone outside of that cartel can really make a proper and sustained challenge on the status quo?

Not sure what there is to be impressed about when someone has arrived and things have got worse and a lot of his decisions have been awful so far

The club has gone backwards since INEOS arrived

And that’s before publicly being critical of players at the club

Blaming injuries and claims of the squad and manager being good enough

I would be very worried right now

And then with claims of money running out- they announce a massive spend

It’s going to get worse than it is now imo and the idea he has of being 3 years away from the title is beyond fanciful

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that relegation is possible over those next 3 years

There does need to be some sort of solution

Still think there needs to be a baseline on what a club can spend

If say Liverpool have the highest revenue of £700mil - that should be the baseline for clubs , if a club has an owner that makes to make up the gap then they should be allowed to - but they shouldn’t be able to do it by putting debt on the club


But all through the history of the game in any league - everything has always been weighted towards the “bigger” clubs

Unless people want a US style sports system where there are wage caps and drafts for players etc it’s near impossible to get a level playing field
