First name to go on a betbuilder for a foul. He's a dirty little rat.
Nuno Espírito Santo received a three game ban earlier this season, so I have full confidence the authorities will be consistent and apply the same sanction to Mr Slot.
Coming back to this it will be interesting to see what the red card for
It seems that it was for shaking the refs hand aggressively and with intent ?!
As opposed to anything he said

Have you seen/read anything official about what it was actually given for? (I haven’t)
Nuno’s was for saying some hurty words to the referee. My thought was that Slot did the same, but I could be wrong. If it was for a handshake it won’t stick. Will be interesting to see.

That was your theory, I was only replyingPhysical assault![]()
Watching them made me think of a probably apocryphal story from my work.I thought it was something he said as well
Podcast has it a gesture before hand when he didn’t give a free kick to Salah and then the handshake
The report will be interesting

This angle shows a bit more of Slot's fury, firstly at the assistant ref:

Why Arne Slot was shown a red card after Merseyside derby chaos!
A new angle of Arne Slots red card following a chaotic ending to the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool.www.skysports.com
Looks like he's using foul and abusive language. I'm no professional lip-reader but it looks like he's saying "it's a ***ing disgrace". Can't say that sort of stuff to the officials. Three match ban incoming, 100%.
Seen loads slagging Everton off for over celebrating, they just don't get it.
Whatever he did or said, the referee deemed it serious enough to be a straight red. Clearly Slot wasn't going up to him to give him a friendly handshake after the match.Heh heh. I suppose it's all down to the intent in stuff like this isn't it?
Our owner was given a several-match stadium ban earlier this season because he spat near a referee. The powers that be did not accept his defence of having throat issues linked to his cigar smoking. They decided the intent was there.
So, if they apply the same level of justice for all, if the referee felt there was intent there from Mr Slot, he will have a job to convince them otherwise. I'm confident he'll get a three-match ban because they're always fair and level with this kinkd of stuff, no matter which club they're dealing with.![]()
Michael Oliver is one of the calmest, even tempered, refs on the circuit. I don't think he has ever been seen over reacting. So, I'm not sure Slot will get away from punishment, unless Oliver was deemed to be over-reacting.
