After 1st 2 games, I'd expect any manager to make a change. Trust Southgate to make the most boring change imaginable, albeit Gallagher is an improvement in TAA. I wonder if he thinks that change is solely the key to making England tick again.

Hope he is right. Though he is determined to keep Foden on left I guess.

Just worked it out....either Portgual or the winner of group E, where all four teams (Belgium, Romania, Ukraine, Slovakia) are on 3 points after 2 games.

It is easy to be experimental with your squad choice when you never had any intention of playing at all those players. Cole, Gordon, Wharton, Mainoo and Toney. Won't get more than 60 mins between them

I think your right, I would be well miffed if I gave my holiday and not getting the opportunity to actually play despite showing well throughout the season and in the warm up friendlies

He's an actual midfielder, who can play the position.

Whereas if Southgate played Gallagher as an attacking wing back, I'd say TAA would be an improvement
