The thing I will lay on Moyes is lack of rotation throughout the season that had lead to this burn out

But last 3 games out of 9 points it's 7 on the board

Your second paragraph is incredible, if it is being used to highlight the qualities of Phillips?

No that's not what I was saying

Apart from those 2 changes (Phillips and aguard) for resting players that was our best 11 bar Emerson

Basically 8 of those are first choice week in week out and more than good enough

What we saw was a jaded team

The idea is. Phillips on paper is more than a suitable replacement for Alvarez for a game

Sometimes you have to win ugly. Part of the reason Liverpool can press so well is because they play a high line.It compresses the play. You need runners from midfield to turn Liverpool. The thing is it’s not the first time Liverpool have played that way v City.

he really isnt that good, suited the system at Leeds and played alongside a better defensive midfielder for England most of the time, expect Pep has pretty much destroyed any confidence he had too. Him and soucek as your central midfield is not good enough at this level imho, way too big a drop off from Alvarez (albeit not seen a kick of todays footie)

A fully fit Phillips wouldn't be as massive a drop off as say putting JWP in that holding role

Problem is pep was right. He isn't fit. And unlike lingard who kept himself in shape and looked outstanding on loan Phillips looks so rusty it's unreal

I don’t he ever was that good. His problem was that when he was injured/ out of favour, Rico Lewis came in and was on fire. Coupled with the fact that John Stones then dropped from defence into midfield with devastating effect.,Phillips time at City was soon coming to an end.

First game I felt for him, hospital ball from zouma and gave away a pen

But then the sending off

The just poor performance today

He just doesn't seem hungry

We scraped a draw against a team that is practically relegated…

1st half was completely self inflicted…he stuck Paqueta out wide so he could play Souchek in front of Phillips which was as it sounds.. a disaster.

Somehow he has turned Ward-Prowse from an attacking midfielder into the most negative player I have seen since Ray “the crab” Wilkins, coupled with the ineffective “Spine” of the other two it’s no surprise we allowed Burnley 70% position in the first half.. we also had zero shots!

I know you think that Aguerd is better than Zouma but he really isn’t a good defender. And the pairing of Mav and Aguerd is so nervous it’s painful to watch.

They are only comfortable when we are on the front foot, they cannot cope with the low press of Moyesball

2nd half with Paqueta up the middle instant results.

We looked far more comfortable.

Paquata has been wide left all season and has been outstanding there.
He has not played through the middle in the main

Emerson was the big miss today .his link up play with paquata is what turns defence into attack

Aguard there is something going on. Seems like he doesn't want to be here. We shall see

Yeah, see this bit shows me you only look at the set up on paper and not how the team actually plays.

Paqueta drifts all around the park. Look at all his assists, they are normally from the middle.

Pure Hatred? Don’t be silly. It’s only a game of football. However I spent great deal of money following the team and I like to be entertained.

I think that Moyes holds the team back, he has probably the best pool of talent he has ever managed and he doesn’t know what to do with them…

Holds them back? From what? Winning the league? Or winning a trophy last season ? Or the fact we are 7th in the league and still in Europa for now?

He's got us to a semi of Europa

Got us to a final (and won) of the Europa conference

What exactly is he holding us back from?

He has the highest win % of any west ham manager in our history.

So again what is he holding us back from?

Paquata does drift that's the whole point but he has been started on that left flank all season.

Who out there would you replace him with? Who do you think could actually work well with the board and get where we have got now?

If he qualifies for Europe again this season is that not enough?

Do you really think he is holding us back from champions league?

Because frankly outside of west ham everyone thinks we are crazy to want Moyes out.
