Bring back Roy 😂

In some ways it’s not surprising , he lasted longer than most expected and he prob thinks it time for a break - let’s finish the season with lots of trophies and look and see who takes over

Alonso is the romantic choice but he’s not proven yet.

It’ll be funny if Klopp ends up in Saudi for big money and Liverpool fans realise it was just a job for Klopp.
Alonso, good shout. Any manager is going to be a risk, so why not. Although would Alonso want to follow Klopp?

It seems that Klopp has realised that his hamstring just can't cope with managing Liverpool for too much longer.

Seems a bit early for Alonso - if Leverkusen last the pace and actually win the league then I guess he has the credentials. But it's only his second season of top flight management?

Let's just pray they go for Stevie G. With Hendo as his assistant.

Very self indulgent to announce it now. It makes the rest of the season all about him. He should have kept this quiet until the end of the season.

Big blow for Liverpool, he has been excellent for them.
I also thought it was an odd time to announce it, with them being top of the league. Perhaps he thinks it will galvanise his players for the run in? Got to be some sort of mind game at play with the timing.

Why is it?
He told the club in November, so it’s been kept quiet. Just imagine the gossip pages (and on here) when it came about new managers were being looked at If it was still kept quiet.
My money is on Alonso.

Yea I agree with this. They’ll be approaching other managers now. They needed to get this out there.

He has the rest of the season where the focus is all going to be on him, not the team. Every press conference for him, the players, all about him going ' doing it for Klopp etc. The club knew , no need to make it public at this stage. Do it at the end of the season, before the last game or two. He gets a send off then, this will be like Elton Johns last ever world tour......

Losing one of the best managers in the world will be massive - not just for the club but for the league as well

What the club do next will be key

Not sure if someone like Alonso would come in but if he did then would need time

But the club is in a great place and whoever comes in has a fantastic foundation to build from - which is all down to Klopp
