Agree

The dissent slamming the ball into the ground with his fist is a yellow .
How many have been booked for that this season
But not tonight.

inconsistency

Yeah but I don’t think that’s a booking tbh and think ref done ok tonight - been good without var

Problem is are any of them bookings ?
But they have been in all other games.
Booked the keeper again in 93 rd min how predictable!

Good cup tie but both teams very wasteful up front.
Final balls were terrible.

Bugger - Its always the hope that kills you in the end

Very strange atmosphere last night. Not as buzzing as I thought and an air of nervousness in the crowd that clearly filtered through to the pitch in that opening period where we couldn't keep the ball and put ourselves under too much pressure. Shame about the goal but it was coming and the speed that Liverpool move the ball to the front players is scary at times

Had we scored from the corner we may have got going but I thought we were flat for most of the first half. We were definitely a better side in the second half and had we scored and not hit the post with so much time left I think we'd have had more belief. As it was when the goal came we tried to push on but Liverpool were good at controlling the game and seeing it out

Pleased to have got to the semi-final and hope we can do a job on Newcastle at the weekend and go on another cup run. We all know staying up is the the holy grail but if we could strengthen in key areas at the back, add to the creativity in midfield and find a decent striking option we could definitely be a mid-table side for years to come and then have a base to look to be a decent cup side. Hopefully we can still get some business done in this window but definitely need a strong summer on the market.

You could bet had we won there would have been rail strikes, engineering work on the tubes and bad weather. At least I can play golf on that day now!

Maybe some controversial football news with UEFA, in the corrupt world of football?

When UEFA president took charge in 2016, one of his reforms was a 3-term limit for all executive appointments. This rule designed to end the bad governance that happened before.

However, now that his final term is to end in 2027, he and his supporters are now working on a plan to amend this rule, so that he can stand again in 2027 (he was unopposed in the last election). Can't help but think the power has finally got to his head, and so he will try anything to stay in that position.

This has been rumbling for a month or so. Not sure who it is but an English guy on the UEFA Committee is 100% against it. Watch this space.

David Gill was against it. I read about it as Boban has just quit his role at UEFA because of it. He was a quality footballer, brings me back to the Football Italia days on Channel 4.
