Imho yes .
But the caveat is he’s done 23% more Liverpool games than any other ref since 2019.
This is why most bad games have involved Liverpool.

Moyes said it best

You should ask the referee and see what they think, we have got to the stage where we are settling for a level of officiating where we are all shrugging our shoulders and saying 'OK'.

But only against Liverpool, allegedly.
Why do they keep putting him in charge 23% more than any other ref .

Law of averages says he’s going to make bad decisions if he’s in charge of Liverpools games so much.

Didnt Alex Ferguson try to get a ref banned from UTD games once because of bad decisions agains them?
Cant remember his name!

If a ref does more games the % of good v bad shouldn’t change. For example, if his bad rate is 30% and he does 10 games, 3 are bad. If he does 20 games and 6 are bad it’s still 30%.

More recently, he might have had more Liverpool games (not vastly more, maybe just a few more over last few seasons). But his all time record, transfer market site suggests he has refereed in City games more.

I don't know how they select referees. Maybe it is partly on how highly they are rated compared to peers, but maybe it is also done geographically. Will a referee who lives up north do more northern clubs, as long as they don't support them or rivals?

But a Manchester based ref doing the majority of Liverpools games !
That was never going to be troublesome was it ?😳😳😳😳

Yeah Fergie was probably whinging because he wasn’t getting enough “Fergie time” managers should have no say in who refs their games.
