Ivan Toney, once a cheat always a cheat . Surely VAR looked at it as they are supposed to look at every goal . Poor performance from ref and var .
Footballers themselves seem to sink lower and lower, some players have absolutely zero integrity.
It seems nothing matters anymore other than winning.
I can. Onfield officials didn't see it. 11 Nottingham Forest players didn't see it. No Nottingham Forest officials saw it. I don't believe the commentators noticed it, as it wasn't mentioned at the time. It only seemed to come out in the post match analysis. Can't understand why VAR can't intervene in a blatant case of cheating that led to a goal. Clearly gained an advantage
You make a good point. I can't believe no-one managed to see it though. Can't condone Toney's behaviour though as it still amounts to cheating gain an advantageI can. So, I think it is reasonable to assume that the VAR officials may not have picked up on it at the time. Who knows what video monitor they are looking at when it happened live, it may not have even been picked up on the monitor they were looking at. The ball was out of play at the time, and it was an unusual incident so not something I'd expect VAR officials to be all over. And, as far as I'm aware, when a player scores direct from a free kick, the officials don't really want to hold play, so they can have a minute or so to review exactly what happened between a free kick being given and it being taken, just in case the ball might not be exactly in the spot of the foul.
Had the Forest players been switched on, noticed what happened, they could have told the referee. He could have then asked VAR to have a check. But that never happened.
It probably is. But given there are many sports, especially football, where bending the rules is common place, then I can understand why many might think it is not cheating. As I said, I think it has literally been highlighted by the vanishing spray. Whereas had he done the same thing in the days before vanishing spray, then many would just see it as him teeing the ball up for a better lie, so to speak. You make a good point. I can't believe no-one managed to see it though. Can't condone Toney's behaviour though as it still amounts to cheating gain an advantage
That is the definition of Spursy. A team that has many goals scored by Kane, but can't win trophies. Bayern clearly wanted to become Spursy. And now they've got Dier as well, and looking to get Trippier, they are well on their way to become the European Spurs.Anyone noticed despite Kane getting a load of goals, it looks like he could end up trophyless at Bayern? They're falling further behind Leverkusen and were terrible yesterday.
I'm sure they'll still win it. 7 points behind but with a game in hand and I can't see Leverkusen remaining unbeaten all season?Anyone noticed despite Kane getting a load of goals, it looks like he could end up trophyless at Bayern? Can't wait to see them recruit Danny Rose as well. That is the definition of Spursy. A team that has many goals scored by Kane, but can't win trophies. Bayern clearly wanted to become Spursy. They don't have to remain unbeaten, unless Bayern can pretty much remain unbeaten and win nearly all their games, which may also be a tough ask for them. Mind you, I don't watch German football, so not sure if Leverkusen have been immense, or rode their luck.I'm sure they'll still win it. 7 points behind but with a game in hand and I can't see Leverkusen remaining unbeaten all season?
Liverpool fans seem to remember EVERY decision that doesn’t go their way, then watch other games and say “if that was us”Liverpool win 4-0 away from home, and some Liverpool fans still suggesting some bias against Liverpool from officials. Are they corrupt?
Personally, I didn't think it was a red card tackle at all on Diaz. And I've heard various football pundits say the same since the match. I simply think it was a foul that sometimes is considered red, sometimes not. So, if it is subjective, then VAR was surely correct in not intervening?
I also didn't think the challenge on Jota was definitely a foul, or just a coming together? I've heard others say the same, so again if it isn't stone wall, then VAR were correct in not getting involved. I thought there was more reason for VAR to intervene in West Ham game when Bowen was rugby tackled, albeit I'd need to double check Bowen wasn't dragging down the defender just before the images I saw. But if Bowen should have got the penalty, I'd suspect the VAR official was not biased against West Ham.
Every team gets bad decisions against them in the mind of fans. There are only a limited number of referees, so inevitably probability suggests some of those referees will be responsible for several of those bad decisions. I wonder how many good decisions Tierney has given in Liverpool's favour, where the opposition have been upset by the decision? I doubt football fans keep track of the officials who awarded "dodgy" decisions in their favour, yet are crystal clear on the decisions that go against them.

Its just incompetence and inconsistency from refs and VAR.
I think the fans have a real case to complain after Sunday!
At least you won, we had a dodgy pen given against us then a clear pen not given second after that pen was scored
