Well was an exciting second half - could have been 3 down at one point but then Nunez arrived and could have been 3 up - some great stuff going forward

Impressive from Jones who is getting better every week - can see him earning a sport in the England squad

And young Bradley covering for Trent - great game

Boy Bradley looks like a class act, seems to have the same engine as Robertson 😂😂
Could be the long term answer if Klopp plays TAA further forward.

Certainly gave a good audition tonight - also not afraid to get stuck in

Aside from Bradley's display I wouldn't be overly happy with that result or performance from a Liverpool perspective. Any team with a strike more potent that we have would have put the game to bed and if a team like Fulham can create so many clear cut chances others will do so and not be so wasteful

Talking of Sancho, I’m hearing suggestions he may be involved in some capacity against Spurs.
Looks like Sancho is now in Germany having his medical, so looks like the rumours he'll be involved in Spurs are false.

I remember when we were first looking to bring him in. I know he had a good reputation in Germany, but I don't watch German football. Everytime I saw him play for England, I wasn't exactly blown away. So, I was very much underwhelmed about Utd getting him. Especially because, at the time, Greenwood had emerged as a player who was doing well on the right (albeit, it was predicted he'd play up front in the future).

Surprisingly, when he did come to Utd he played most of his football on the left. I can understand crossing the ball into the middle is a bit of a waste of time if Martial or Rashford are the No. 9, as they don't strike me as strikers who love getting on the end of a cross. Although we did have Ronaldo, who'd have loved good crosses into the box.

Since joining Utd, his ability has sort of matched my initial expectations. Underwhelmed. And it also seems that he isn't the best character to have in your squad either. It'll be interesting to see how he does in Dortmund again.

Quiet Rome derby this week. Not. 3 red cards, bottle thrown which was returned. Good old José. Some things never change although he was not chasing the ref this time after the game.

Thing is, while at Dortmund he was absolutely immense. I don't buy all the character rubbish etc., the move obviously hasn't worked for both parties but he's a very talented player who may flourish elsewhere. Certainly not the first player who was great elsewhere and awful at United and wont be the last.

I said it at the time, but the signing of Ronaldo didn’t fit in with the long term pursuit of Sancho at all.

My belief then was that Solskjaer intended to play Greenwood through the middle, with Sancho out right and Rashford left. All of a sudden Ronaldo is thrown into the mix meaning that Greenwood, who Solskjaer was never likely to drop, played on the right. Straight away, Sancho was either played out of position or was on the bench.

So, to be fair to Sancho, I’m not entirely sure he was ever given a chance, and as his frustration grew so the discord started.

I firmly believe the catalyst for all of this was the signing of a player in Ronaldo who the manager simply hadn’t planned for, and probably didn’t really want. A front three at that time of Rashford, who was really firing, Greenwood and Sancho could have been worth watching. But we’ll never know.

And Dier's deal to Bayern has been done. I am quite sad to see him go in a way. Clearly loved the club, was a good player at times for us, despite going in and out of form over the years. Most notably as a makeshift holding midfielder under Poch, and as a centre back early in Jose's spell he thrived under that defensive set up I felt. Can't play the Ange way since he's not rapid so unfortunately he had to make way. He gets a hard time from some Spurs fans, not really sure why. He's been a good servant.
