So pulling the keepers shirt is not a foul now!
Ramsdale not very happy.
Guess who the ref is?
We all knew this though. VAR ref Oliver thinks it is a penalty in Man Utd game (at least one of the times anyway), but none of the officials think grabbing keepers shirt is anything to be concerned about in this game (I assume they have VAR?)

No VAR ??
But I would expect a PL ref to see that shirt pull.
Where the hell is he looking?

Just shows what a crap ref he is !

It is a weird argument. I didn't see City v Utd but I heard Shearer say the same thing on a podcast - along the lines of "it's technically a foul but if you give that then you have to give a couple every game". Doesn't that mean it was the correct decision though? Just because the fouls are normally overlooked that doesn't make them not fouls? Maybe if some were given then players would stop making these fouls? I found it a slightly baffling point. Should be praising the ref for having the balls to actually give the foul, no? Either that or make it not a foul. Or else we accept the scenario where a foul isn't a foul because of some unwritten rule that they are 'never given'.
That’s a great post ..

This has nothing to do with whether it was a foul or not, this is another case of VAR checking club badges, There is no way Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham, Sheffield etc.. get one of those against one of the premier league official's golden teams. Feel free to bring this post up when it happens, I won't hold my breath
That was the 1st penalty city have been awarded in 30 years at OT .

The point is that it is a foul however it's never given and then suddenly is. I have no issues if it now results in them being given every week, it just means there will be hundreds of penalties across the leagues. The issue is that it won't, never weekend that foul will happen in the box and nothing will happen. It's all about consistency, that's the issue.
I get what your saying , but who would have thought the penalty Utd were awarded against city in the cup final would have been awarded 3, 5 years ago .. Never . But refs slowly but surely started to award a penalty for a ball slightly hitting a players hand , even if in old money it’s Ball to hand. Perhaps now after the Derby pulling and holding will be commonplace for refs to award penalties.

Pray for the squirrel 😱. @Slime I'm turning over to watch Shetland at 9. You may want to join me.

Okay, how long before ETH is in trouble?
I'd sooner sack Dalot, Lindelof and Martial. And Anthony not far behind. It is as if none of them know how to move about the pitch to find space, and give a team mate an easy option.

Very embarrassing. And I really do wonder what ETH is coaching? Are too many players simply too lazy to follow instructions, or have egos too big to work for the team, instead wanting to be the hero?

Looks like he had rotated then.

And despite that, I think side is stronger with a bang out of form Bruno and Rashford.

Rotated to a degree, still more than double the amount of first choice players starting compared to Newcastle.

I'd be keen to hear why you like ETH or rate him? Transfer record woeful, playing style pitiful, handling of players shocking and zero personality. A total and utter fraud. Ole would come back and do a better job that's how bad this guy is. Nevermind, he won a league cup because he had home draws and got lucky in the final

Martial and Antony for sure, possibly put Rashford on the list, too!

I never said he is the second coming. But I'd like to see him be given more time to see what he can do. Ole was shocking.

P.S. I think Utd technically had 2 first team players in the starting line up. Anthony and Casemiro. Maybe Mount if we think he might end up being a starter, though that seems doubtful up to now

You’d sell your best player from last season because he’s playing poorly in a team where no one is doing well? Fickle.

I actually said 'possibly', and it's nothing to do with form or ability.
It's all to do with application and effort ................................. but I think you already knew that.

Of all the players performing poorly for Man Utd, Rashford is one of the few that you can’t question his application or effort in my opinion. He simply plays for a rank rotten team.
