If that's the other end and a Newcastle centre half taking out Salah/Gakpo/Diaz every red in the world is screaming for a red. He's about to be 1 on 1 with the keeper and is taken out.

Clear red as any I've ever seen and completely stupid. Once again, Carra showing he's a bit of a tool.

If that’s a denying a goal scoring opportunity then I think there will be more red cards - it’s a foul and a yellow but I don’t think that denying a clear goal scoring opportunity

He’s through on goal, edge of the box, with only the keeper in front of him. It only needs to be a clear goal scoring opportunity, not a nailed on try like in rugby Union.

If VVD had not made contact with Isak, where do you think the ball would have gone?

Isak had turned VVD, and Isak would have been facing Allison with ball in front of him. How is that not an opportunity to score?

TAA gets the blatant foul given, he doesn’t throw the ball away. But that.s due to bad refereeing and he should definitely have got A second one even though it was a soft foul.
To be honest, Gordon was an horrible nasty piece last week against City and I thought he had fouled TAA. There is a linesman that could and should see that shove. The ref wasn’t helped. That has nowt to do with TAA chucking the ball away though.

I don’t think it’s nailed on , he was rolling VVD and didn’t have control of the ball - also not sure what’s changed in regards genuine attempt at the ball - thought it was on a yellow then.

But on the balance of TAAs stupidity we should be down to ten anyway

And there is another foul from Joelinton .

It is only a yellow if a penalty is given, and ref thinks it was a genuine attempt at ball. That doesn't apply here

You mean like we just saw? When VVD clearly shouted “F you” directly into the referee’s face?

It’s nothing to do with timing. It’s all to do with respect. And the lack of it.

No I didn't see him swear, but if he did (which I don't doubt I wasn't watching that bit) then what a plank

Jamie Carragher quote.” It’s not a goal scoring opportunity “.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Opps Ave just dribbled in me pants laughing.
My liverpool supporting cousin has made the same claim. I felt a laughing emoji was the only response 🤣.

In terms of the game, Newcastle are owning their left hand flank, brutally. Joelinton should have been carded for persistent fouling. At 1-0 liverpool are still very much in this.

Is Darwin soon going to be a contender for one of the biggest PL flops, or is he being used as an impact sub, or saved for back end of season.

My fantasy draft forwards consists of Darwin and Hojlund, and not serving me well

I don't understand why he's still on the bench and Jota has come on tbh. We're playing on the counter. We need pace when we do get forward.

They really are the reddest of red glasses you're wearing there. You shouldn't be down to ten, you should be down to nine.

Is the game over yet? I mean it's still a good game yet some event in the first half is being talked to death

Newcastle have committed 18 fouls it seems with Joelinton committing 6 of those - how has he escaped a yellow card
