It seems like your problem is that referees don’t give warranted fouls to some players rather than them giving correct decisions to Manchester United.

The ability of football fans to not see their own biases is hilarious to me. It’s like there’s some sort of punishment if you don’t favour your own side getting decisions.
Assuming you’re a United fan, this would have to be the most ironic statement I’ve ever read on the internet.

I’ve got no issue with calling it in black and white regardless of whether it’s my team or not. There are plenty of non-Forest fans who are stating it wasn’t a penalty but they’re waved off as being bitter or having an agenda. 🥴

It’s really not, given we have video referees to help…but turns out they’re as corrupt as anyone else given Mike Dean’s revelations this week. The mind boggles really
I think fans ( all fans ) want competence and consistency. instead we get incompetence and inconsistency. We are going to have these discussions every week til the end of the season ☹️👍

I don’t support anyone in the Premier League, sadly my team long ago abandoned the upper echelons.

But if I was, correctly stating the laws being applied wouldn’t show bias.

Rashford penalty - contact made , given 9 times out of ten but never overturned by var or var wouldn’t give it if the on field ref hadn’t. Every team gets them

The red card for me was more subjective- looked like there was cover

And Fernandes must be clear out on his own when it comes to throwing himself to the ground and the baby crying reacting from him

Strewth, where do Sky Sports dig some of their experts up from?

Just watching Super Sunday Matchday and Dominic King of The Daily Mail is borderline illiterate. He can barely string a coherent sentence together.

the end of which season, Tashy?!

Re: Rashford, I think it's the same as Szobozlai last week. it's a pen and it's a dive. The ref's have caused this nonsense by not giving pens for clear fouls in the area where the fouled player doesn't end up on the deck. Could Rashford have carried on? I'm fairly sure he could. Would he have got a pen if he'd been fouled, carried on running and (for example) ran the ball out of play? Never.

It's all rubbish. None of the refs are good enough, they back each other up and while VAR as a system sounds like everything that everyone asked for, it's the same incompetent bodies ruling over it.

No, it’s a fouled player falling in a way they’re trained to so as to avoid injury. You’ll see it from every team across the league all over the pitch.
Yes I have seen them practicing diving.
Even the kids in the parks do it now, with added scream like their hero’s.

So no contact player goes down why is he booked for simulation If he’s just trying to avoid injury.?

Just watched the Rashford penalty/dive. Contact appeared to more than a gentle brush, knee to thigh. I don’t think it was a dive. Going past the defender and nudged, more than a nudge really, off balance. I do think it was a penalty. And the Forest player didn’t make a song and dance about the decision being wrong.
Maybe because they are learning if you argue with the ref your getting booked.

He is usually not going to change his mind.

Even the neutral rates it best

There’s just too many to pick from in reality and all too subjective.

The Van Persie volley (against Villa I think) is one of my faves, but doesn’t usually get mentioned in top lists.

Yes don’t apply the laws of the game to save your mate any embarrassing grief from fans.

Is that the norm or just Mike Dean!?

Then wonder why players question the decision!

It's just odd it's almost always in the top 3 if not too 1 but everyone remembers the shinned effort of Rooney as a top effort . Fair enough if he had caught it pure rather than shinned

Plenty of players hit the deck and don’t get booked for simulation. Some obviously do try and exaggerate.

Agree re Rooneys. His against Newcastle was better.

Imo Di Canio is a fan fav of neutrals so gets higher up the list than should. His shove is more iconic imo

I’m a little bemused.

United had nearly 70% of the possession. Twice as many shots, and twice as many on target as Forest. Over three times the number of corners. Oh, and won a game in which they had been 2-0 down before probably 20% of the crowd had even taken their seat. It’s hardly surprising, surely, that the post match summary was presented from a United perspective. In fact I struggle to recall a single instalment of any highlights programme where a post match summary has ever been presented primarily from the perspective of the side which has lost a game.

Forest’s goals? Well done Awoniyi for being really quick, but that goal was a result of United holding a defensive line almost on the edge of the Forest area and making a complete hash of it. So it’s only to be expected that a summary will say as much. And the second was a free header which, if I recall, seemed to surprise Boly to such an extent that the ball actually appeared to come off his face. Shocking defending again, not a contender for goal of the season, so I’m surprised you’re so surprised that it was discussed not from the perspective of the simple free kick and header, but from the angle of the awful defending which led directly to it.

The penalty? It wasn’t at the United end, so anything you say regarding how it would have been discussed had it been a Forest player going down is pure speculation. You claim to know how such a discussion would have gone. The fact is you really don’t.

I think, if I was a neutral, I would expect any post match summary of a game like that to focus not on the team which blew a two goal lead, but on the one which dragged themselves back into it. Broadcasters have finite time in which to fit their highlights, post match interviews and analysis. So it’s only to be expected that the focus is primarily on the side which won a game.

With the greatest respect, with regard to yesterday it’s only the Forest fans who seem to think otherwise.

Focus mainly on the winning team? There I agree.

But give 100% of post match analysis with the winning team as the prime focus? There I disagree.

I’m sorry you find that point of view bemusing. 🤷‍♂️

But it’s also not surprising. The Big Six have enjoyed media bias in every aspect for so long, that it’s to be expected their fans react with incredulity whenever it’s called out.

As said earlier, I certainly agree to disagree with you. 👍
