Haven’t seen it, Tash, but the other pundits are saying that, whilst soft, it was still a penalty. The consensus on Sky is that there was definite contact and, as a consequence, when Rashford hit the deck, there were no grounds for VAR to overturn it.

I’ll probably change my view when I see it, but I think we all know what Keown would be saying if it had been Arsenal benefiting from the decision.
Listening to Mr Keough he was definitely down beat when Fulham scored there second😂😂😂👍

What a great signing Maddison has been for Spurs.........awaiting the abuse from the forum!

No abuse here. Think he's a good player very tidy signing just think like for like paquata is better

But then would take Maddison and play paquata deeper

Just described by the BBC commentator (not Keown) as an obvious dive following a non-existent contact. Look forward to seeing it on MotD later. 😐

Well I don’t know what they were watching. I’ve just seen it - clear contact and a penalty.

I’d be stunned to hear a pundit claim it was a dive if not for the fact that pundit was Keown. His bias against United is nothing new.

I can’t decide if it was a dive or not.
Only seen a clip of it from a poor angle 🤔
Likewise. From the Sky highlights, there's definitely a contact. It's just a matter of whether you believe in a footballer's right to take a dive in the penalty area if they feel a nudge on their leg. On the occasions Brennan Johnson has done it I've been as irritated as I am after seeing this one.

Whilst head injuries are never nice it's great to see the reactions from players and officials now

Soucek down and within what 30 seconds play stopped and medics on

Well played

I think you could count the number of strikers who don’t go down following that sort of contact on the fingers of Captain Hook’s bad hand.

And any pundit who has the benefit of multiple replays shown from different angles and at different speeds who honestly thinks there is no contact and that Rashford took a dive should be embarrassed to be drawing a salary. I’ll say again, the penalty was perhaps soft, but there was clear contact.

Martin Keown, once more, has just shown himself for what he is. A prize chump.

He's not the only one, for sure, but Rashford's one of those forwards who looks for opportunities to win free kicks and penalties ahead of opportunities to actually score in open play. It's a shame because he used to be an exciting footballer. It's the main reason I don't care if we sell Brennan Johnson - another falling over specialist.
I still have mixed feelings about Forest being back in the top tier. I struggle to watch any live Prem games due to the cheating of the players and the enabling behaviour of the commentators and fans.

Antony Taylor is such a poor ref for the game tho

JWP booked for getting the ball

Milner no ball all man nothing

Alvarez was a defo yellow tho

It’s the same discussion each time it happens

Just because a touch happens doesn’t mean a player is entitled to go and not even touch is a foul

Was the touch enough on Rashford for him to go to ground - from the clip I have seen no - so he has gone down to exaggerate the contact and because there is a belief that players feel entitled to go down

But then Traore was the opposite- was through on goal and Arsenal CB caught him but he stayed on his feet instead of going down and winning a pen

Wow. What a great counter acting goal

I been hoping soucek would be dropped for a while because we would play better without him, shame injury caused it but we look much better without him

What a ball from Antonio out wide, the cross to Bowen...the touch and goal

Wow
