Just described by the BBC commentator (not Keown) as an obvious dive following a non-existent contact. Look forward to seeing it on MotD later. It was a penalty, no doubt.

Well, just remember who started it....He’s not the only one saying it though. Ave a feeling that once the clip of the penalty is out, there will be a few pages about it on the forum tonight
Listening to Mr Keough he was definitely down beat when Fulham scored there secondHaven’t seen it, Tash, but the other pundits are saying that, whilst soft, it was still a penalty. The consensus on Sky is that there was definite contact and, as a consequence, when Rashford hit the deck, there were no grounds for VAR to overturn it.
I’ll probably change my view when I see it, but I think we all know what Keown would be saying if it had been Arsenal benefiting from the decision.

Likewise. From the Sky highlights, there's definitely a contact. It's just a matter of whether you believe in a footballer's right to take a dive in the penalty area if they feel a nudge on their leg. On the occasions Brennan Johnson has done it I've been as irritated as I am after seeing this one.I can’t decide if it was a dive or not.
Only seen a clip of it from a poor angle![]()

He's not the only one, for sure, but Rashford's one of those forwards who looks for opportunities to win free kicks and penalties ahead of opportunities to actually score in open play. It's a shame because he used to be an exciting footballer. It's the main reason I don't care if we sell Brennan Johnson - another falling over specialist.I think you could count the number of strikers who don’t go down following that sort of contact on the fingers of Captain Hook’s bad hand.
And any pundit who has the benefit of multiple replays shown from different angles and at different speeds who honestly thinks there is no contact and that Rashford took a dive should be embarrassed to be drawing a salary. I’ll say again, the penalty was perhaps soft, but there was clear contact.
Martin Keown, once more, has just shown himself for what he is. A prize chump.
