Chelsea have looked decent at times today, and Sterling been lively.

West Ham have defended brilliantly, and then been clinical. Stupidest tackle ever though by the chap who was already on a yellow

How much did Betway have on that?

Was hoping the players would take a stand today and cover the logo tbh

They reported paquata for allegedly putting bets .. dunno how his name should be public knowledge before guilty verdict

Plus reporting on a player who you have a betting market on leaving the club? Wonder how much they took on the city transfer going through before reporting it....totally immoral as always the old bookies

All fine unless you beat them

As for the question of what men's league they could compete in...for crying out loud why the hell (again) is that old line tripped out. Against their peers they are the European Champions and World Cup Runners Up.

They would of course be "smashed" playing against men. Lauren Hemp is nails but her average opponent is likely to be 4-6 inches taller and a couple of stones heavier plus loaded with testosterone...

Anyway. If you don't think it's good enough quality just stop watching it.
Sincere apologies for the comment I made earlier today about The Ladies Football Team. It was a genuine question but I should have known better.

No offence was meant and I have learnt a valuable lesson.

Think you’ll find it was spot on. 👍

I think Moyes could win the prem and you would moan 🤣 keep it coming 4 points in 2 games

Great start to season

More balanced squad

JWP better suited to us than rice the way we play and the players we use

Sneak a point at the bogey team Brighton and it would be a cracking start

Haha
I'm not having that. Let's not rewrite history.
We were outrageously lucky today. They missed a pen when they were all over us.
Then Antonio scored a once a season worldy.
Obviously I'm delighted, but that was a bit like getting a series of pars with outrageous up and downs, holed bunker shots and thinned chips hitting the flag and dropping. Fabulous, but completely unsustainable.

Let's enjoy it, but not be blinded to the state of our squad and the quality of our football.

No 100% JWP suits us better

Think back to soucek and rice..terrible partnership, rice wanted to be Gerrard and left soucek exposed after season 1. Rice leaves suddenly soucek is back in good form. Not left exposed as much

JWP and rice would have worked yes

Last year rice had 2 assists all season
JWP just got ,2 in a game

For all this "ability to break with ball" I'd rather have someone who does something with it

I loved rice when he played pure defensively midfield and didn't start believe he was the second coming of gerrard ..

First half up until we scored we looked good and lively, after we scored he set us up to play deeper. As he did against Bournemouth. They scored then got a penalty.

Fortunately the second half we had a go and pushed up a bit.

Thought the whole team put in a great shift, if Moyes lets them have a go next week I think we can get something against Brighton…. Or maybe I’m just giddy with the win? 🤪

It's not always "Moyes made us set up to play deeper" after teams concede they push for a goal more.

It's basic tactics

Your most vulnerable to concede after you score statistically speaking

JWP for £30m is a bargain to be fair. He will continue to do well for you. So underrated!!!

Key part is for us there

Rice will be outstanding for arsenal .. he will improve and they can afford his pointless runs

We aren't as affective with the ball, that's just life we have to take our chances

So having better quality balls in will help

Redknapp hit nail on head when he released Antonio. Rice doesn't have that pass in his locker .. it's just not his game

Nothing wrong with that but we can much easier replace a pure out CDm (see Alvarez) and then have quality on the ball like JWP and paquata

Individual talent wise we ofc worse but collectively we are better

So the Spanish captain who scored the winner v England was told her father had passed away on Friday. ☹️Life can be cruel sometimes☹️. She has said the golden star on the shirt for winning the World Cup is for him.👍

Dogged performance against a one-dimensional Sheffield United team on Friday. Those were the types of games we'd have thrown away last season - and despite being nowhere near our capable best, we still managed to find a way to beat them and their rat of a manager Hickenbottom. Was great to be back at the City Ground.

Taiwo Awoniyi will get 20+ goals this season if he stays fit. Just an absolute menace. Signing Matt Turner from Arsenal is currently looking like an astute bit of business too as he's been really good for 2 games.

Oh and Anthony Elanga is one of the fastest human's I've ever seen in real life. Just an absolute joke.

Onto mid-table Manchester United at the weekend. Played them 4 times last season and outplayed in all 4 games. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves - and judging on their last two performances, now's a good time as any to play them at Home!

I said in an earlier post it would be better if Greenwood moved on and left United. Whether that involves football. Only time will tell.
