If it wasn’t him, why haven’t the Police & the girlfriend got together and got someone else in the frame? Irrespective of her backing away from giving evidence, the fact no one else is in the frame paints a very clear picture.

It’s messy, and the law’s an ass but that’s how it is.

There was no way Mason Greenwood was being sacked the day he was charged. Innocent until proven Guilty. And seeing as the charges were dropped. He could have had a field day for wrongful dismissal. For me UTD getting rid is the correct decision. There’s no doubt he has made some bad decisions. His statement said He was innocent of all charges. He may well be but he has shown no remorse for what he did do. He has not shown regret or a willingness to change through education etc. For me that is why Joe Public will have him as public enemy number one should he set foot on a football pitch. Mendy was also found not guilty but for me his treatment of women was loathesome. Glad he never put on a City shirt again.

I was brought up to know that violence or abuse in any relationship is wrong, I did not do the things I was accused of, and in February I was cleared of all charges.
Mason Greenwood.

So basically he’s saying she lied.
Not sure I’d get back with someone if they publicly falsely accused me of that.
And was he cleared?
Is having charges dropped the same as being cleared of all charges?

The CPS statement read that “other evidence came to light that made a conviction very unlikely” but it has never been disclosed what that evidence was.

All that’s left is conjecture and speculation.

The victim getting pregnant whilst he was banned from seeing her as a bail condition made it rather difficult

That‘s taking witness tampering to the extreme

So serious question, would you have him at your club?
As a Wednesday fan whose team is struggling it’s a hard one, really not sure myself.

Would I have him at the Boro? No, but…….. if, over a period of about a year, he fessed up to it then did a huge amount of volunteering etc I might revisit the idea.

Is that the specific evidence that the CPS referred to?
A spokesman for the court confirmed bail had been granted with conditions not to contact witnesses, including the complainant, and to reside at an address in Bowdon.

Then suddenly their back together and she's pregnant

Think he contacted at least once

Mason Greenwood: Police 'deliberately ignored' bail breaches during investigation
Mason Greenwood has seen charges against him dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service but a judge has questioned why Greater Manchester Police ignored breaches of his bail while under investigation

He was arrested on Saturday morning for breaching his police conditional bail. He was found in the company of the complainant

He has no respect for

Women
The law
The position he held IE being a talented player which people would kill for his lifestyle..

Basically a pure scumbag

Always going to be hard to jail him if the victim is happy to be with him. Raise a child

They would literally be breaking up a family

Don't blame the CPS for that tbh but he just gets away with it

Like I said, he has shown no remorse, if anything the opposite.

Sorry, I might be missing it, but have read that a few times and can't see where that links to the CPS saying that additional evidence had been presented. The judge certainly questions the police here, but that's not the CPS.

Greenwood, having defied bail conditions, should have been further charges surely, but I'm not sure how that would be "evidence to drop charges" rather than to pursue new, added charges.

Unless you have a link to the CPS stating the what the new evidence is then it's all speculation.

I do agree that Greenwood has little to no respect for his girlfriend nor the law.

If he’d been fired the minute the pics & texts had come out he could have sued them for wrongful dismissal. There’s a process to go through before they could have got rid of him.

This has been argued before, possibly even by ourselves, but dismissal is possible due to gross misconduct dependant upon terms of employment. The “process to get rid” can be very quick when the employer is well prepared.

Yes, he would probably have sued and in likelihood lost, there doesn’t need to be a criminal charge or conviction if the reason for dismissal was real or perceived reputational harm to their employer as an example.

However. That none of this happened suggests to me that ManU’s legal term have found things lacking and have instead had a very busy and profitable year investigating, reviewing and updating many of the clubs employment terms.

Let's face it the only reason he wasn't sacked was because he is an asset

If this was maigure, a player they want gone , he would have been shown the door

Heaven forbid they should write him off

Exactly as you’ve posted. “Suspended pending…” Many companies have solid social media policies that trip some employees up - 6 pints on a Friday night posts. The company I worked for had a couple of marketing staff reviewing all sorts of social media.

On actual football, another player sent off following an utterly avoidable yellow card for time wasting. The second yellow was iffy but he wouldn't have been in that position if he hadn't been daft in the first place.

Teams were warned..............

Yes, but it seems that they've already dropped the booking for players asking the ref to book another player. Both Partey and Odegard waving the imaginary card after the Palace player went down in the box. More inconsistency from refs.

EDIT - also think there was as much contact on the Palace player as there was on Saka from the goalkeeper but it's given in one and not the other.

Have they stopped the yellow for waving an imaginary card now ? That lasted long
