They probably knew Levy would not accept unless they offered over £150 million.Really don't get how united didn't go all out for him. Even Newcastle tbh. Challenge city

Out of interest, are Bayern going to be the only offer. Would be interesting to see if any other clubs were waiting to see if Levy would accept a number before coming in with a later bid. Would certainly save a lot of time and effort to let someone else do the hard work before putting your money on the table. I cannot believe that Bayern would be the only bidders.

Would there be a bidding war? Spurs have already accepted Bayern's offer. Could they unaccept it if another club comes in?Don’t see which other clubs would look to get involved in a bidding war for him
Maybe PSG but they seem to be changing direction
I’m not going to lie, I’m pleased to see Maguire off the books. Pleased for him, as he can reboot his career, and pleased that the club can move on from what was becoming a distraction. The £30m is a nice bonus, and it removes a big number from the wage bill.
I have been very critical of the player for some time. He’s not up to it. But I will never criticise his attitude. Publicly he has never complained about his situation, has always given the club, manager and his teammates his full backing, and has remained professional and dignified throughout. Everything Ronaldo wasn’t, in fact.
I hope he is successful at West Ham. He deserves it.
What happens if Maguire flops at West Ham? Apart from Southgate still picking him obviouslyThe mistakes I’ve seen from him haven’t necessarily been from playing in a particular style or system, it’s mainly from him being rubbish with and without the ball.
Is Areola going to start this season by the way? Just looking at the old FPL team and he's only 4.0 so could be a shout if he does. Or will it still be Flappyhandski?
Can’t believe no one has mentioned Ward-Prowse going to West Ham from Southampton, unless I’ve missed it of course.
That’s a great signing for me, experienced Premiership player and his dead balls are superb.

Not a fan of a brand new player being captain. Don't you need to earn the respect and trust of your teammates first??Hear Maguire will be captain but would be happy with either him or JWP
How many goals this season will we see JWP corner/free kick -> Maguire header? I'm guessing 5.

Cresswell is the obvious candidate. Knows the club like the back of his hand.We don't have any tbh who are first team
Rice was a mistake tbh
Zouma kicked his chance

I guess its like buying a house...until paperwork is signed anything is possible....they just need to accept the higher bid and tell Bayern to up the ante.Would there be a bidding war? Spurs have already accepted Bayern's offer. Could they unaccept it if another club comes in?
Didn't PSG accept an offer Mbappe - and he is still thereI guess its like buying a house...until paperwork is signed anything is possible....they just need to accept the higher bid and tell Bayern to up the ante.
Caicedo at Liverpool moves them from top 4 contenders to title contenders.
Would take their best 11 over Arsenal.
Jeez how much would he be worth now.?You never watched Alan Hansen then?
