How can a club spend £600mil and look so much worse than the two previous seasons - how bad are Chelsea.

Yeah no one likes to see that.... What's bad to see (and again now with Fernandes) is that reputation goes before reality now and it's now like the boy who cried wolf.

Depends on how much the identification of that talent pool was down their old technical director Dan Ashworth who has since moved on.

I'd happily take MacAllister and Mitoma to Newcastle ...they're the sort of players we need to be adding to build the squad...we don't need "marquee" big name signings at this stage of the "journey".

I would argue the money it would take to get both, they would be 'marquee' signings. MacAllister will certainly be the 'marquee' signing if he ends up at Anfield this summer.

Unfortunately I think Brighton will be in that place where they will always be having to sell their best players ,

This summer they will prob lose MacAllister and Caciedo - and clubs are already circling over Mitoma and Ferguson.

Other clubs can pay the big wages and over the regular European football

Also the manager will also prob look to move on

But I hope they continue to recruit well bringing in the very good players to keep them a solid top half table team.

This is just how the prem works. Saints, West ham, wolves have all done similar before hand.

Good scouting only works short term. Big clubs buy their positions.

They are beyond awful. Yet again I’m struggling to see what plan they came with this evening. Unless, of course, Lampard was simply planning to see his side get royally battered by a side which itself has been less than convincing for large parts of the season.

Chelsea are just in complete and utter disarray. It’s going to be one hell of a task sorting the mess out.
